You're turning into a clown.
@snarlcakes he does seem to be teetering right now. Would be a good time for Susie and the gang to try and have him take a beat.
Three more frenetic years like this would put the GOP in a bad way.

Things are going really well. The economy is great. You're just fearful of the media noise and Democrats doing crazy shit. That's their MO. Get off of screens and touch grass. I'll let you know when he messes up.

No, he is just being more stupid about things. This Greenland stuff and the letter to Norway complaining he didn't win the Nobel...that is unhinged. Going after Indiana instead of using what is happening in Virginia to turn out red voters in a purple state, is stupid.
@iucrazy2 how is red states not gerrymandering and blue states gerrymandering a smart policy?

I’m impervious to letting media noise and Democrat freak outs sway me, you should know that by now.
I’m all for getting our digs in at NATO, but they’ve actually moved troops into Greenland, maybe even a dozen of them.
That means they think their’s a realistic chance they think Trump could try to take it by force, and who could blame them. Trump’s built credibility with Iran and Venezuela.
Now it won’t come to that, but it’s a pretty sad indictment on us. And while inconsequential, wth was the Rob Reiner thing? That’s evidence of a really darkened soul.
@snarlcakes and the recent policy proposals have sucked. Capping credit card interest rates, banning institutional investors from buying homes, trying to force out Powell when the rates should be held where they are, re-opening the tariff war.
This is Marxsist policy and you’re to far down the populist rabbit hole to see it.

I wish he would have waited until after the midterms to make a push for Greenland, but trying to acquiring is the right move (outside of military force). He floats all sorts of sh#t, so I don't pay too much attention to what he says. Just what he does. And a lot of the ideas are minor. For example, the capping of credit cards policy is a for a year. I don't care if Visa has slightly smaller margins for 12 months, they'll be fine. This assumes he does it, which most likely they won't. You have to buy votes somehow, that's how it works. I'd prefer they cut in visa's profits than print more money for them. The problem is you still think we have a free market system. It's a control system and Trump has figured that out.
I assume none of that changes your mind, so just go with the data. Inflation is running at 1.55% (according to Truflation), GDP growth is over 4% (maybe 5%), deficit spending decreased as a percentage of GDP, real wages are up, government jobs are down, and unemployment is at 4.4%. Also, I think rates should come down. At this point you're just unnecessarily punishing small businesses and consumers. Inflation isn't an issue currently and the FED has less control of inflation today than they did in the 80s (that was driven more by bank credit expansion). Today's is from deficits (which increases with higher rates) and the shit ton of money they printed during Covid.
All gerrymandering is bad. Need a constitutional amendment.
According to who? Not the politicians or the people who vote for them. If it was bad there would be a constitutional amendment.
Under the current system not gerrymandering is bad, assuming your goal is fairness to the voters.
lol. the people in charge aren't going to sign off on limiting gerrymeandering because they are the ones benefiting from it. The people drawing the maps love having that cheat in their arsenal.
That would be like congress voting a pay cut for themselves.
I like how this is all blamed on the idiots that run the govt. (Dems and Reps). Dems are just eff'd and eaten up in in the head and think the govt is everything and everyone should give them money for nothing or even worse all the corruption they bring to the table. They need exterminated from the US political scene. Reps are mostly bully A wholes. American citizens could fix this by voting Gold and getting rid of all these folks.
