@gros-louis Take a shot, I found nothing to disagree with. Actually, it could have included much much more.
@goat Was it supposed to be “impressive”? I found it sad, if speaking of emotional results.
Suspicions?? Again, be specific.

There, I set it up for you.
@co-hoosier Drifting? Oh no, they’ve reached the shore my friend, and a long time ago at that.
@co-hoosier I agree on some of that. But people have been saying that since at least 2020 on the WC, when I started posting. Sometimes liberals (mostly those who identify as SJW, woke, or progressive) go too far.
But that doesn't mean the whole set of people who call themselves liberal is made up of fakes or crazies, and it doesn't mean all policies or positions taken by those on the left are wrong. An example that I still think of as relatively recent: it was the left that championed the legalization of gay sex, gay marriage, and ending discrimination against gay people. The right pushed back against it. On that issue, the left was correct; the right was wrong.

of course there are generalizations involved, just as you generalized in your last few sentences. Also the left (or at least a substantial minority of them) lie about conservative views about gays as shown by the left’s expressed views about the Colorado cake case. They lie to create issues out of thin air.
Don’t forget Gorsuch wrote the gay rights opinion and in my view, it was one of his best.
@co-hoosier Do you think the right lie about any liberal views?
yes.
Accountability is the difference maker. Jake Tapper wrote a book about that.
@co-hoosier From the party of Donald Trump, Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Boebert, Jim Jordan , Kari Lake, Paul Gosar, Matt Gaetz, the crazy woman who said the floods were fake in Texas. Don’t pretend Dems have the edge in craziness. No one will ever match Trump.
@co-hoosier Speaking of books, just read an interesting one called Erasing History: How Fascists Rewrite the Past to Control the Future. He focuses on what the administration and the far right are doing to education and universities, a la Braun’s/ Whitten’s cutting of programs they have issues with.
From your intro, I was certain you had found a new William F Buckley…This is absolutely the best takedown of what it means to be a Democrat in the 21st century I have seen. I looked for a pull quote to copy and paste to wet your appetites, but it turns out the whole piece is a pull quote. All I can say is read the whole thing.
… at least you could’ve entertained us with one of the decent conservative comedians.
@co-hoosier I actually agree with you, I think, on some of the stuff from this article. Its just VERY difficult to take you seriously when you write things about "accountability" being a difference maker...When you very consistently support Trump. Who's possibly the least "held accountable" human being that's ever lived, by sheer volume of lies, misdeeds, etc... So the thought of GOP holding their own accountable is rolling on the floor laughable.
I have no control over whether you take me seriously. FWIW, I seldom defend Trump, but I often agree with him. I plead guilty to ridiculing those who criticize Trump with vacuous stupidity, which is 80% of the criticism. No Kings Day marching is a perfect example.
Glad you agree with some of the article. I personally think what has become of the Democratic Party in the 21st century deserves discussion, sorry not much of it in this thread. Do you think the Democrats will, or can, return to mainstream ideas? Or is Mamdani now the center of Democrat ideology?
