“Moist”
was acceptable ….. until global warming became a thing.
just sayin
If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.
@joe_hoopsier not sure what's going on but this has been the most miserable summer i can remember. just 95 and higher with ridiculous humidity day after day. too hot to do anything. miserable

@unclemark we better get a good fall
It has been the highest humidity summer on record in Ohio. Most forecasters (insert requisite note about the accuracy of forecasters here) are predicting that the humidity levels will remain high through the fall, which means a very wet / rainy fall once the temperatures start dropping.
@squeakyclean we sit in a soup bowl here between the two rivers and the humidity has been so oppressive
Tell me about it. I work in HVAC.
I've got a client right now complaining about water dripping down from their exposed ducts in a restaurant.
I visited their restaurant.
Me: "OK, I see where the water is dripping, this shouldn't be happening unless the humidity in this space is really high and the air coming out of the ducts is super cold. What is your thermostat set to?"
Them: "62 degrees."
Me: "Ummmm....OK. That's really low. Why is it that low?"
Them: "Well, if we set it higher, the temperature in here gets too hot, like 75 degrees."
Me: "I reviewed the calculations. The size of the air conditioners is plenty to keep this space cool."
Them: "Well, it's not."
Me: "I see you have two large 8 foot by 8 foot garage doors here that lead out to the open patio dining area. Have you been opening them?"
Them: "Only during dining hours."
Me: "....................."
Me: "So, you're telling me that during these 90 degree, 70 percent humidity days, you've been keeping the garage doors open for over 6 hours?"
Them: "Yeah."
Me (in my head): (Youre not allowed to smack the client. Youre not allowed to smack the client. Youre not allowed to smack the client......)
Then f'ing move. China ain't gonna stop polluting.
China is producing renewable energy at an incredible rate. In May of this year, China brought enough solar/wind online to power Poland.
They now produce 3 times more renewable energy than the US, and a larger percentage of their energy comes from renewable.

There are many bad things to say about China, but China's push to renewable far, far outstrips ours.
Good for them. Maybe you'll be able to breathe in major metros in a few decades.
