I’m sure there will be many more people outraged about this than there were that watched the show…
@oneeyedundertaker it's insane how political, to be more accurate, how far left the late night shows have gotten. i don't think i ever see a kimmel clip that's anything other than attacking trump. is that how it was with leno and carson or even letterman back in the day?
I can't possibly imagine why this show wasn't a big hit.

I never found Colbert funny. He was OK on the Daily Show back in the day, I guess. Kimmel, by contrast, is funny and still very anti-Trump.
Interesting the take by some, it is the highest rated of the 11:30 shows by far. It seems unusual for a network to cancel a show winning its time slot by a hefty margin. Maybe Colbert just made a whole lot more than Kimmel or Fallon?
| Jimmy Kimmel Live! (ABC) 42 First-run episodes |

| The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (CBS) 41 First-run episodes |

You mad that a tv show makes fun of the trash in the white house?
I'm sure trump appreciates your empathy for him.

Doesn't look like it:

Doesn’t look like it:
Interesting. I've seen the internet rumors that Trump demanded it. I thought salary might be a plausible counter. I don't buy the rumors. Just because I don't know the answer doesn't mean there is some dark conspiracy at play. Admittedly, with salary, I don't really know what the answer is.

Top-rated show in the time slot and averaged 2.5 million. Hannity, on the other hand, during prime time, averages around 3 million over the past 5 years.

I agree with this. I still like Kimmel and Seth Meyers. Meyers' "A Closer Look" segments are always pretty funny.

Leno was notoriously apolitical. Conan was as well. Letterman drifted left later in his career but nothing like the guys today.
If anyone actually watched Craig Ferguson maybe they can weigh in. No idea.
And NBC still has poor Jimmy Fallon chained to his desk with a bottle of bourbon and a bag of cocaine all he’s allowed to consume for sustenance.
Probably wishes he could be fired as well.
CBS is unwilling to lose millions in advertising revenues over the next 3.5 years.
As always, it's all about the Benjamins.
