Neither Trump, nor any politician, could divide me from those I respect.  it takes no mental gymnastics at all to be that way.  Those who allow such divisions from friends, family, or others have the problem, not Trump.

It’s not about you, but that Biden statement has really bothered you. You’ve mentioned it many times as evidence that Biden was divisive. Seems strange that bothers you so much while probably a hundred things Trump said were far more offensive and divisive.

Nuance isn't your strong suit.

You really have focused on that one dumb and divisive political statement by Biden and ignore literally hundreds of dumb, cruel and extremely divisive statements from Trump, including this obviously racist video he reposted. There has not been a more divisive President in my lifetime than Trump. He literally believes, and has said, that about half the country are his enemies. That’s every Democrat and every Republican that isn’t showing him the loyalty he demands. He’s literally weaponized the justice system against his perceived enemies. Yet you don’t really think he’s divisive. That’s just incredible to me. The mental gymnastics you must engage in should be physically painful.

@aloha-hoosier He's done some good things but the bad far outweighs the good.  He's a chaos agent, he's not playing with a full deck, and he's tearing the country apart.

@big-ryan His good has far outweighed the bad particularly when compared to the consequential polices of the prior administration and Biden was every ounce as divided as are Newsom AOC and the rest.   The shaming in your face left of Biden and today’s nothing like Dems of the past.  You just like one side more than the other.

TDS colors some of you in ways I never thought possible for thinking adults

Big Government socialists, immigration slave labor freaks, and dumb neocons are the ones slowly deteriorating the country.  Trump is trying to stop some of that silliness. Hopefully, peeps like yourself figure it out and join the team.  We need to string together several elections wins.

Wrong. I’m not gonna explain it yet again.

@jdb I think some things will naturally normalize once Trump is off the scene. He's just too divisive. When he finally rides off, a lot of the vitriol on both sides will lose an important fount.

I hope thatt is true but both sides seem to have to have a villian in the opposite party so we'll see.

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who know binary and those who don't.

He’s wrong just like Mr Goat. The lines are drawn and they aren’t moving Trump or no Trump.

I'm not saying I think everything will be great. I just think both sides will lose a little bit of steam when he's gone, and that should at least help a bit.

This is true if you think Trump causes division.  That might be partially true.  I think Trump is more of a product of division.

That's meaningless word salad. Trump is an especially divisive figure because people either worship him or despise him. All politicians deal with love and hate, but no one deals with it on the sycophantic and/or vitriolic level Trump does. He's historically unique in modern American history.

We will always have figures who are held up as paragons by some and villains by others. But no one has in recent times received the levels of both unabashed admiration and unrestrained hatred as Trump. I doubt we'll see that again anytime soon. So I do think temperatures will cool when he finally shuffles off.

Loving or hating Trump is a choice made by people.  The love and hate is bigger than Trump.  Politics by combat started before Trump and it will continue after Trump.

Can anyone imagine being a Black American, their parents and their parents before them, x 3 more before them. And continually being told by a political party that they are "here to make their lives better" because they are too stupid to do it themselves. And continue to fall for it? This may be the single biggest thing that unites the blacks and conservatives in the USA. Conservatives don't create a caste to support their power.

If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.
