They won’t laugh at him, on the outside, but I expect they will on the inside. Taking all these officers from their commands at the same time is nuts and these no nonsense GOFOs and SEADs won’t be a happy crowd. It’s a Hegseth Publicity Op.
I had started a seperate thread and deleted it because I saw this one was already discussing this. I'm glad you weighed in on this.
From the outside looking in, higher physical standards for our military seem like they make sense. That said, it would seem it could have been a widely shared memo instead of the publicity op you've described it as.
LOL I had the very same thought. Symbolically, of course. Not literally. All I keep thinking of is the Red Wedding.

Maybe Hegseth will have a scale and an obstacle course for testing the physical fitness of the top brass. They won’t laugh at him, on the outside, but I expect they will on the inside. An embarrassing waste of time and resources, just so Hegseth and Trump can get their dictator fix in.
Meeting is over.

Trump, Hegseth address generals and admirals at mandatory all-hands meeting in Quantico
Among the things emphasized is that warfighting is the only mission of the Department - and we're going to send the military to US cities.
Watched the start of the President Trump video at the meeting and when he walked in everyone came to attention in the room, as they're supposed to. The President seemed upset that there was no applause or cheering for him. Well, every private knows that when the commander comes into a room everyone comes to attention and when at attention there is to be no noise - no clapping, no talking, no moving. Doesn't anyone ever brief the President about these things? Or does the President not understand it when he is briefed about these things.
To Trump, it was supposed to be just another MAGA rally. He's probably upset with the lack of flags, hats and balloons too. No YMCA walk-up music, even.

Hegseth put in doubt the qualifications of every minority and every woman (and there weren't a significant number of either) in the room by implying that before his enlightened leadership minorities and women were promoted because they were minorities and women rather than their qualifications.
Hegseth: "It is tiring to look out and see fat troops, likewise unexpected to see fat generals leading command. It is a bad look. Bad and not who we are"

You could try just telling the truth for once instead of posting photoshopped nonsense.

LOL, you're in deep. Ever see him on live video? Think it was doctored? Are you a Q'Anon shaman?

That tweet saying he's 'playing tennis' with Serena Williams is very generous. He returned a lobbed volley once and then hit another way off into the crowd. I'd guess this is how she 'plays' with "Make-a-Wish" kids.
If Trump told you that the sky was not blue but was instead was Royal Stewart Tartan Plaid,
You would walk outside, close your eyes tightly, and then yell that Trump was right.
