Here I thought nabbing Maduro was the jewel in this admin's foreign policy crown but it's (likely) just more crazy shit. This deal, if as reported, is insane and will never last. Will probably even push Venezuela further towards political extremes. Looking forward to hearing non-populist members of the GOP discuss this after the election.

My fave part:

The agreement dictates that any conflict between the company and the United States must be settled under U.S. law, not Venezuela’s.
