Hello Members,
I want to be as transparent as possible on what the whole vision and goal for Hoosier Huddle is.
As most of you know we had a quick turnaround after the learning about the Merger. The original Hoosier Huddle website was housed on square space and getting a forum on there just was not going to work, so I went with word press. Is it perfect? Not at all. Was the goal to be perfect? No.
We had about seven weeks to scramble and build some place for people to go while trying to survive as an independent and not miss a beat.
After seeing the questions and concerns (with a little advice from a poster) I wanted to be upfront with everyone.
The ultimate goal is to redo the website to be more user friendly and modern looking. However, that takes time. We will be on Wordpress through the basketball season (which is hopefully April) and then hopefully have a new layout by the time the 2026 football season starts (hopefully sooner).
However, I have seen your concerns and have purchased some upgrades (back to top button, gifs, pms etc.) that I need to figure out how to install.
So this is temporary, but I do love that you are all here. Hopefully I can make the experience more enjoyable for you. After all we work for you!
Thanks,
Sammy

Appreciate all you do, Sammy.

It keeps telling me to subscribe when I try and read the ODU preview. Can you help a brotha out?
Same here but when you hit subscribe it just sends an email to verify that it is your email. then when you verify the email with the 4 digit code, it says "Thanks for your continued support" or something along those lines and lets you read the article.
Since we don't have a login for premium material, i think that is just how it works??
@hurryinghoosiers The forums are free. In order to get articles behind a paywall you have to subscribe. Here:

I was referring to the McHaney article (i paid yesterday).@hurryinghoosiers The forums are free. In order to get articles behind a paywall you have to subscribe. Here:
1) Open McHaney article
2) Under subscribe to continue reading you can do either of the following
Option 1) Enter email, hit subscribe, check email for 4 digit code, return to site and enter 4 digit code and access is given to article
Option 2) Hit already a subscriber, enter email, click link from email that takes you back to site with access to article
@hurryinghoosiers That seems like a hassle that I can look in to. Did it eventual get to the whole article
@thehoosierhuddle After doing those steps, it takes you to the article.
I signed up for the forum first and then subscribed. There doesn't seem to be any connection between my forum username and my subscription other than I provided the same email when doing both.
Once I do the steps mentioned in my last post, it does seem to remember me when I go back. I'm guessing it's in cache and i will have access on that browser until cache is cleared (or a time limit). There is no login or logout for subscriber access. Getting in for subscriber access doesn't log me into forums though, so the forum login and logout is totally separate.

Thanks Sammy. Appreciate the site and your work on it.
