TUESDAY 11/25 EST 3:00pm

Chelsea vs Barcelona

This will be the first time Lamine Yamal and Estevao will play each other.   Mark this down as the most important game in a new rivalry.  This will be the next Messi vs Ronaldo era.  Fans who have never watched Estevao may even come across thinking he’s better than Yamal.

I absolutely love Yamal but I worry he’s playing to much as this young age and his ego may if not already become an issue.  He’s got to stay hungry to reach his potential which is massive.  Estevao may not be quite as talented, but I think he’s more humble and will work to become even better.

is @mcm666 gonzo?  Last time I visited the cooler he mentioned he was on life support.  Did he even make it to Hospice?  I hope he had some hot nurses.

Today is game 1 of the 18 year old wonder kids Lamine Yamal vs Estevao.

@eppy99 I am sure @evanalvarez8 will catch up with ya. He's in the middle of a move to Milwaukee.

@eppy99 Estevao is incredible, and honestly, I am already getting annoyed with the Lamine Yamal hype. Can't wait for more Champions League soon. Also, as Sammy said, yes I am finalizing a move to the Milwaukee area as I started a new job, so I haven't been on here as much - my apologies man!

@evanalvarez8 No apology neccessary.  We've all moved and it's a beast especially if you're moving a family as well.  Yes I do really enjoy Estevao.  I'm not sure he'll ever be as good as Yamal, but I don't think skillwise he needs to be.  He plays with that Brazillian swagger and joy that's infectious to watch.  I did take pause however during his last game against Leeds.  The defender took the ball away from him, and instead of fighting to get the ball back he showed his frustration by clearly tripping the guy from behind.  It was childish and just dumb and he should have realized that.  Instead he waved his finger at the ref and began arguing.  He received a yellow card (which he deserved) and continued to argue with the ref.  His older teamates had to seperate and try and calm him down.  For an 18 year old kid new to European football  he's got a lot to learn, but his talent his breathtaking.  Just like Yamal that first year, everytime he touches the ball everyone is one the edge of their seat waiting to see what he's going to do.  In general he seems like a good kid, his family moved from Brazil to be with him, he plays drums in the church band, his coaches and team really like him.  That stunt was the first time though we saw a different side.

As for Lamine Yamal, yes the hype is a lot, but I think it's warranted.  He is a genius with the ball.  I look forward to seeing how his career continues to rise.  He was dealing with some injuries earlier this year, but has really been coming on strong of late.  Like many young players he is cocky, but that's also what makes them fearless.

Did you see the Chelsea vs Barcelona game?  Estevao that day was clearly the better player.  I think it will be fun to watch both players as they continue to mature.  The world cup will be a great stage for both of these 18 year old players.

@eppy99 I totally agree and can't wait for the World cup. I think it will showcase the immense talent out there to an American fanbase that doesn't know yet how good it really is!

@evanalvarez8 I have been watching.  That's a big upset.  Apparently the players have decided to give refunds to fans.  There hasn't been a really dominant European club this year.  I guess the closest would be Bayern.  If PSG gets healthy they could come on strong again like last year.  I don't trust Arsenal to even maintain their lead in the PL.  There's def a lot of parity this year.  I've been watching a lot of Chelsea this year, but I don't give them much of a chance even in the PL.  They have a new manager and a collection of really nice players they can't seem to figure out the best 11.  My guy Estevao had a great fall and then they just stopped giving him consistent minutes.  I think they're trying to protect him too much.  I honestly think he's just a notch below Yamal, but time will tell.

@eppy99 Why do you think Arsenal won't be able to hold on? They seem primed to win the PL

possibly. Arsenal go to City in mid April.

I think Man U can sneak into champions league. If so, boards got a decision to make assuming they could possible lure Alonso

where to start? Defending making too many mistakes (see ManU's first goal). Offense is inconsistent as hell. Saka just isn't getting it done iyam.

@larsiu Man City is slumping right now too.  Just a lot of parity.  Can't forget about Villa.  They're right there with City, what 4 points behind Arsenal.  I'm not sure anyone beyond those top 3 can catch the top of the PL.  I'd love for Chelsea to string together some wins, but I fear their defense will be their achilles heel.  I need to see more of ManU post Amorim, but maybe switching formations will naturally fix their midfield issues.  It is nice to see Mainoo getting meaninful minutes again.
