I haven't actually researched the upcoming qualifying groups, but there is one country I'm rooting to qualify.
I'd really like to see Norway make it to the World Cup. The best players should be in the tournament which should include Haaland. I think Haaland alone would make Norway games interesting and would give them a shot to knock anyone off. My guess is Italy will win their group, but assuming they make the playoff as a runner-up I will be interested to see who they draw.
What interests you guys at this point?
Btw, I'm super excited the World Cup has decided to implement dynamic pricing. Given the prices we were hearing this is great news and smart by FIFA otherwise they might embarrasingly had empty seats.
With a name like Alvarez I'm assuming you're rooting for Georgia? Turkey has some talent for sure, any big names for Georgia? I haven't looked to see what channel is broadcasting these games.@eppy99 - so excited for today and this week in general. Some really awesome games! Georgia vs. Turkiye today should be fun. Agreed with your thoughts on Italy and Norway too!
@evanalvarez8 I forgot Georgia has the guy from PSG. Can’t say his name but he’s pretty damn good. Just saw the Germany score!
So based on the prices that had been released previously for World Cup tickets I thought they would need to offer dynamic pricing or face the possibility of empty seats. Am I wrong and the demand is there despite the high prices so dynamic pricing will only make tickets even more expensive expensive?

@eppy99 be sure to enter the draw if you want to see a game. I have a bad feeling that any game worth any substance will be ridiculously priced. If you want to see El Salvador vs. Uzbekistan, go for it, but any country in the top 30 will be priced high - imo.

The USMNT got a much-needed result with the 2-0 win over Japan. Experimenting with something that resembled a 3-4-3 paid off with at least one good performance. That formation makes sense to me, particularly when Robinson (Jedi) and Dest are back and healthy as fullbacks. Timothy Weah as a wingback makes sense to me too. I think Balogun and Pepi are clearly the top two strikers and as of now, I don't think they have a third striker that is particularly close to those two. Zendejas seems like he's probably done enough to make the roster. They really need Gio Reyna and Tillman to be in good form come World Cup time.
@tjinman1987 not to hijack with a nonresponsive post but to hijack with a nonresponsive post based on this past summer i think possibly the biggest thing that will inure to the benefit of the us is the heat. these euro teams are going to really struggle. they were useless this past summer.
@mcm666 That could very well be a big factor BUT that will be dependent on where the USMNT ends up being sent. There are a number of indoor sites: Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, LA (I think)...Kansas City would be humid, Philly and New York would be muggy as well. The draw (both the opponents and the locations) will be fascinating.
@mcm666 so does that point to the South Americans having an edge?
