@thehoosierhuddle Love the sound of that, I'm more of a basketball fan than football. Very seldom read the football forums. Go IU!!!
@willray It is football season and basketball won’t interfere with our coverage for football, but we will have more bball stuff soon.
Will ray. Are you aka willdog ?
@hoosiers94 No, Ive only had the one name from day one back when I joined Peegs in 2005'
Heading down to Bloomington for Men’s open practice and availability and availability for Teri Moren and the women’s team. Lots of hoops stuff this week.
Cautiously optimistic, but I'm not falling for no banana in the tail pipe.

Diligence is the mother of good luck. Plough deep while sluggards sleep and you shall have corn to sell and keep. Work as if you were to live 100 years. Pray as if you were to die tomorrow. All progress springs from work. Work has laid the foundation of every fortune in America. – Benjamin Franklin

@hoosiers94 True, but he dug IU hoops out of the sewer left by Sampson--which is no small thing--and made the Hoosiers relevant again.
Crean wore out his welcome and wasn't the long-term answer, but he did a lot for the program. I just don't get the haters. He damn well would have done a better job the last eight years than Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dipshit.
Is anyone else kind of "meh" about IU hoops these days? The last eight bumbling years have put me in "give few shits" mode. And this from a guy who's attended over 100 games, all of which involved 8-hour round trips.
IU could have reeled me back in with McCollum, but he wisely chose a different coaching path. I think DD will do fine--it should be almost impossible to miss the NCAAT with IU's resources (unless your name is Woody)--but I just don't see him significantly improving the program. Maybe I'm wrong ... time will tell.
In any case, Cig reminds me of Knight in many ways, so perhaps that explains why I've transferred my allegiances to football.
Im feeling ehhh sometimes, because we have sucked for so long... Plus IU appeared to show they had no idea (or cared) how to run a major school athletic department. The Cig hire and other items with football are getting rid of much of that feeling.
Certainly not down at all just because we hired DeVries over McCollum. (Even though I think McCollum is going to be solid for Iowa, and was who I wanted.) Coach DeVries will get us going. Hes the most proven coach we hired in the last few cycles. Or two at least.
Im optimistic. And really looking forward to tipoff!

you're not alone. Hard to gear up for every season yet I some how do. Usually because there's a player coming back etc I like. With all new guys that's hard to latch onto. We will see. Winning cures a lot
