Trump’s Easter Sunday post was his second in two weeks (the first was the “Good. I’m glad he’s dead” comment about Robert Mueller) that I initially thought was too disgraceful, even for him, and had to be fake.

For anyone who still may not have heard, this is what Trump posted yesterday:

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Think of the steady hand of past presidents, from both parties, during wartime.  Then contrast that with this. This guy is a raving lunatic.

First, Trump says he doesn’t care about the Strait, that the US is energy-independent, and that it’s Europe and Asia’s problem.  The message is essentially, “I broke it.  You fix it.”  Then, almost in the next breath, he posts the above rant.  One day he says he’s dealing with “much more reasonable” people than before; the next day he refers to them as “crazy bastards” and posts the above rant.

The prediction markets and everyone else know that the GOP is going to get its ass handed to them in November thanks to our very own crazy bastard.  I believe that, as Trump becomes increasingly erratic, there’s going to be more 25^th Amendment talk, and even some Republicans will join in the growing chorus after the midterms as it becomes even more apparent that Trump is a liability.  If Pubs in political leadership are smart, they’ll join with Dems and Independents in pushing to get him removed from office, with Vance becoming president.  If the party sticks with Trump through the end of his term, it will be another shitshow for them in 2028. 

Former Congressman Joe Walsh summed things up pretty well yesterday: “His Easter morning post. And just 2 days ago, one of his ‘religious advisors’ compared him to Jesus Christ. He will forever be a stain on this country. And the world. 25th Amendment. Now.”
