A weird weekend altogether. Football seemed off. Basketball was definitely off. Bears sucked but the Vikings sucked worse. Everything kind of foggy. On to whatever's next.
@whatthefrik When and if we're running the offense that we ran the first 3 games, teams can't just "not guard" some of our other players. Too much screening and movement, to be able to game plan and effectively do that. But when we largely stand, and watch Conerway dribble the ball?...Yeah... Wilkerson and DeVries get quite a lot easier to guard, and laying off others becomes quite a lot easier as well.
WAAAYYYYY too much one on one, iso stuff, after just an initial pass or two, in that second half. As mad as I've seen CDD get, at times, about missing cutters and about poor defensive effort... it seemed strange, to me, that he was as relaxed about it all this game as he was in the other games.
Maybe somethings going on in the locker room? Sicknesses or something?
I didn't say the other teams wouldn't guard them. But they will go under screens and let them shoot 18-25 footers, and no one will need to help off our shooters as a result. It's easy to help on defense when you don't have to closeout hard in recovery.

If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.
We will lose a couple of games this year that’ll leave us scratching our heads. But I think we’ll win a couple that we have no business winning.
