Regardless, no one's words--whether positive or negative--impact the team's performance, so I'm not sure why people get so fired up about opinions. Either DeVries is the guy or he isn't ... only time will tell. What I say means squat. What you say means squat.

Are there people on here saying we got it right? All I've really seen is "wrong guy again" or "I'm going to give it a minute".

You got to hand it to DD. He's made adjustments, albeit one of those was necessitated by an injury, and it's paid off. We've seen enough coaches at IU that wouldn't or if they eldid it was too late. Inserting Dorn and Alexis into the starting lineup has paid off. When Conerway comes back, he'd be an outstanding 6th man. Cautiously optimistic at this point.
Interesting question as to what happens when Conerway comes back.....Seems to me you want Wilkerson, TD, and Dorn in there as much as you can. So the best line-up is to have Enright & Conerway generally split time, rather than play together, since neither is much of an outside shooter, they tend to step on each other's toes on offense, and we need rebounding. I hope CDD gives Enright the bulk of the minutes and gives Sisley most of the time when TD, Wilkerson or Dorn are in foul trouble or need rest.
@mushroomgod he comes off the bench along with Bailey. Turns a team lacking depth into a team with some interesting depth. Like it or not, Enright is PG right now. And you can't blame it on competition, he held his own against PU.
And Conerway is the one dude that can make something happen off the dribble. That's a nice option coming off the bench.

I hate this DeVries quote, after the USC game: "We just couldn't come up with that one more play to get us over the top". That's Woodson-level BS there.
@mushroomgod This team has demonstrated repeatedly that they have a low basketball IQ and it has cost them in multiple games that were winnable with last night against USC just being the latest example. It’s not a great reflection of DD’s coaching ability. Anyone not acknowledging that right now is in denial…

I don’t know anything about hitting open threes, but smart teams do move their feet on defense instead of constantly reaching and committing unnecessary and stupid fouls throughout each game. Smart teams don’t make themselves completely one-dimensional on offense so that if the perimeter shots aren’t falling at almost a 50% clip they’re pretty much guaranteed to lose. I could go on and on.
