@jj_mcclure Ffs. I haven't scrolled through here in a few weeks. I should have known better.

I've been on the football ride and visit other opposing fan boards. Bama fans make Buckeye fans sound reasonable. But some Hoosier fans are right up there with the best of the worst.

If you can’t find any joy in IU beating Purdue, it’s worth questioning whether your sense of reality is aligned with everyone else’s. Cheer up.

@pryght "Sense of reality?" It's just basketball, man. Whether IU wins or not has zero impact on my happiness--or real life in general--so I don't really need to "cheer up."

As for Purdue, I liken it to a movie. Yeah, it's a great scene ... but, in its entirety, the film is a rotten apple. You have a less cynical view of DK and the program, simple as that.

Well I think that the upcoming west coast swing, along with the health of Connerway, will give us an idea of how the rest of the seat will go. Can they maintain the momentum they have created? Will Sisley come out of the “freshman mid-season slump” every freshman hits and then turns the corner last qtr of the yr? At least it gives me something to follow

Yeah I have never understood how people go after someone they do not even know and proclaim " you must be a miserable person" because you are not doing cartwheels over one win. After 8 years of misery maybe just maybe some want to see much more than one win before they determine this will not be Woodson or archie 2.0 again. But what do I know I do not pump sunshine on this program right now after the last nine years.  I saw the same sunshine pumping under woodson after beating purdue, etc. so it will take more than one win to get me to believe this is going the right direction.

One win against an overrated Purdue team and here come the sunshiners. IU has one Q1 win and one Q2 win. Pump the breaks a bit.

Its pretty par for the course given the levels the program has sunk too. Woodson lost  I think lost 8 or 10 last season in the big ten  at one point before winning three in a row. After he won three in a row it was the same thing the sunshine came out big time. But this site isn't even that bad facebook is the worst I think they were ready to give Woodson a lifetime extension after the three game winning streak.  But Purdue will certainly drop big in the rankings after losing three in a row.

Who is 'they'?  Facebook encompasses a lot of people with a lot of different opinions.

Yeah, you’re right, DeVries flat-out sucks. The guy had over $10 million to build a roster and still couldn’t assemble a halfway competent frontcourt. Instead, we’re trotting out an undersized, soft four masquerading as a five, plus another big who’s missed more layups than free throws all season. That’s not bad luck, that’s atrocious roster construction.

The backcourt isn’t any better. It’s just AAU street ball: chucking 25-footers with no plan, no discipline, and zero accountability. We can’t guard anyone without hacking, grabbing, and bailing teams out at the line. It’s undisciplined, lazy basketball.

And then there’s the nepotism. The coach’s son is clearly out of shape, a full-on dad bod jogging up and down the floor. What kind of conditioning program are we running when that’s acceptable? It’s embarrassing.

Looking ahead? Next year’s recruiting class is a joke. A couple of wings under 185 pounds soaking wet, arms like pencils, and a volume-shooting guard who’s wildly inconsistent from three. That’s not “potential,” that’s another season of excuses.

And don’t even get me started on DeVries’ postgame interviews. Dull. Lifeless. Completely uninspiring. Zero fire, zero urgency, like he’s already resigned to mediocrity.

So yeah, fudge the sunshine pumpers. This program feels cursed, and it’s doom and gloom because we didn’t have the balls to hire Dusty when we had the chance.

Ahhh yes...log in, take a chit, pretend it’s basketball insight, log out.  I get it.

@iugradman They played harder against PU. I am willing to give Devries time to get his team together after being here a bit.

While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon

I understand this is a sardonic post, but you're probably closer to the truth than you think.

Ftr, I've never said Knob sucks; I just don't think he's the guy. Big difference. I have no problem with someone questioning my opinions, but don't be hyperbolic and misrepresent what I've said.

Played 46 minutes tonight in an absolute slugfest.

Let the man work. A flawed, hastily thrown together roster with lots of injuries. This group plays hard and has made adjustments. Safely in the tournament and growing. I'll take it. I like the effort and basketball intelligence. CDD will bring more talent and a better constructed roster.

Mullet man is a dog, better now than I would've ever predicted. Tucker is playing tough and doing dirty work. Baby hands Bailey has literally transformed into man hands Bailey. Lamar is a tough dude that scores the basketball. Dorn has evolved into the missing link. Good for CDD and the fellas. This has been a fun week of Indiana basketball and I dont remember the last fun week.

DeVries almost gave this game away tonight twice.  Let’s not just gloss over that.
