@gros-louis interesting! Hope he's the right kind of dude! But if its true, and one of our first guys will be a high major starter...just that information is exciting! As we only had 1 of those guys on our entire roster heading in to last season. Unless DePaul is considered high major because they're in the Big East?

Same guy says Finley Bizjack of Butler is a possibility....and other poster says he came to two IU games this year and that there are 'rumors' of him.
@mushroomgod He played with JHS and Malik at Monteverde... Woodson recruited him, but he never really considered IU seriously. DeVries also coached under Altman, and I believe they're still close, today. Not sure how those things would impact Evans, and IU... but they are connections of sorts.
He's not the kind of guy I think IU should seriously overpay for... 1 year guy, not really dominant at anything, kinda slow... but if the price isn't out of line, because he's a 1 year guy... He'd be a better big than any we had on our team this past year, so that'd be good. But I'd hope, like crazy, he wouldnt end up being our "5"... Need a more athletic rim protector and rebounder. He'd look really good next to Bidunga!

But I have a feeling he'd be the type of guard we felt we over spent on. Streaky shooter, doesn't rebound or pass particularly well, not sure he'd be a plus defender in the B10... Of the two guys that have been mentioned as possible references by the George burner guy, I'd prefer Evans, by a lot.
Agree with all of that.....I view him as something of an underachiever right now, but very talented. He was rated very highly coming out of HS. Just from watching him, I don't think he'd sign on as a 5. He's a lifetime 28.4% on 3s (3-4 attempts/game), but does shoot FTs at 77.6% for his career.
If we have silly $ he'd be a good guy to have, if we need to be frugal the ROI may not be there. One thing about it....if we did get him it would probably attract others, as it would be a high-profile get.

I've never seen Bizjak play. I did note that his assists/TO ratio was favorable for an off guard, although his assets weren't that high. Does sound like a guy Fran would have loved at Iowa, for better or worse.

If it came to pass on Evans, it would be interesting to see if CDD would be able to get a little bit more out of him than Altmann has. Frankly, Altmann has looked old and/or ill the last couple of years.....his #s aren't bad as is. If he improved 10-15% he'd be very good for us.
i doubt he's talking about bizjack. i know the big east is high major but i really think its a p4 type that he's talking about.
