Correct - every time I hear about this school, all I can think about is "Tom Priller should have went there".  It was his only other offer.  Geez...

Incarnate word makes me think we are playing a bunch of Nuns.

I love that we're playing Incarnate Word.  That's a name that always make me think of east coast point shaving scandals in the 50s.  I know it doesn't make sense since they're in Texas and have only been around since the 80s, but that's the vibe I get.

The Tim Priller Tip Off Classic?

Schedule is t that great- but….  We are playing a couple road games for a change and the marquee matchups are really good w Marquette, Louisville, and UK!  k state is a good, not great home game.

for an all new team/staff, not bad.  Would like to replace bama A&M, and couple others w teams like Drake, Xavier, DePaul or teams like those

Good non-con.  Right mix of games.

It's impossible to accurately project the eventual NET or KenPom or T-Rank for these teams with so much roster churn but we have to work with the data we currently have.

IU's non-conference opponents are projected as follows by Bart Torvik:

Alabama A&M - 309

Marquette (in Chicago) - 49 (I'd say this ends up a Quad One on Selection Sunday)

Milwaukee - 238

Incarnate Word - 197

Lindenwood - 294

Kansas State - 47 (possibly a Q1 given how tough the Big 12 is but likely a Q2)

Bethune-Cookman - 185

Louisville (in Indianapolis) - 16 (almost certainly a Q1)

at Kentucky - 13 (Q1)

Chicago State - 323 (almost certainly a Q4)

Siena - 157

In total, there are only two games that are almost certainly going to be 300+ opponents: Alabama A&M and Chicago State. Marquette, Louisville, Kansas State and Kentucky should all end up top 50 and beneficial for the resume. Incarnate Word, Bethune-Cookman and Siena all have the potential to win their leagues and could be mildly beneficial and certainly won't anchor IU's numbers unless they lose to them. Lindenwood, Alabama A&M and Chicago State are games you'd prefer to see a bit stronger opposition but it won't matter given the toughness of the rest of the non-con plus the Big Ten for 20 games.

Decent. Good start for a 1st year coach. Would like to see it keep improving.

Perhaps only two games vs. Top 25 ... and seven games vs. 150+.

Weak imo.
