For all intents and purposes, the season is over. IU will hit the reset button and I'm confident that next season's roster will be significantly more talented and I'll go on record as writing that IU will go to the NCAA Tournament next season. Is that slightly informed naive optimism? I'm sure some will call me foolish and that's fine. It is now portal season and DeVries and staff need to knock it out of the park. 

I'm rooting for a Tang-level meltdown at the presser to give Dolson ammunition. 

@tjinman1987 the mental makeup of the team is going to need to be much improved as well.  Not sure CDD is a coach that does that for a team.  He’ll need the players themselves to be wired right.  Hope Carr knows that.  Hope CDD is self aware about that while evaluating players these next handful of weeks.

I wonder who will be the lucky IU players that get to talk to the press after the game?

@iunorth You are correct...basically EVERYTHING will need to be improved (and by quite a bit). There's no hiding from it, everything must improve.

Problem is, that is the bare minimum.

@tjinman1987 curious why you think the talent will improve? I don’t think any transfer comes here unless we really over pay. I don’t think we have the money to over pay anymore.  Do you think otherwise? Why is he gonna kill it in the transfer portal? Sure isn’t Drew Adams.

Someday IU will hire a coach who can solve the "Northwestern Equation."
