Effort appeared to be lacking in this one. There was little movement in the offense that had not been seen in the three earlier victories. The good news, IU won. The Lindenwood team that comes to Bloomington on Thursday lost to Alabama A&M by 9 points.
If a night like this wasn't on the radar, I don't know what to tell you. There were clear faults in this team and one of the major ones was if they didn't shoot well. I wouldn't say it exposed a flaw, that flaw was always there.
The performance was not a good one.. The missed free throws were concerning and the energy early was noticeably lacking.
There will be nights in Big Ten play where IU shoots like this and the doors may get blown off. There will also be nights where they shoot 14-28 and blow the other team's doors off.
Not exposed, but a confirmation that this team has limits.
