That was a lack of effort and focus. I was hoping to be able to post something about how they at least picked it up and closed the game. But that didn’t happen. They floated through until the end. Not a good look. I guess it’s a win though.

Connerway isn’t the worst player ever, but man, I can’t stand his game! From the positive plays that he makes, he doubles down on the negative! Plus, his defense is atrocious!
This is the game I've been afraid we'd see among these early cupcake opponents. I don't know if the players were counting this as another easy win before the ball was even tipped but it sure looked that way. Mentally they were just not there tonight.

The offense was very stagnant. Not as much movement, Wilkerson was a ghost, Conerway played hero ball. DeVries only beat a 12-20 UMass team by 6 last season.
Let’s just hope this was a case of overlooking their opponent and not indicative of something more serious.
