IU is going with the same starting lineup for this one: Burton, Mustaf, Harris, Sherrell and Yigitoglu
Ugly start...IU falls down 5-0, Markus Burton exits with what I think was a finger injury and IU goes more than four minutes without scoring. Jaeden Mustaf finally opens the scoring with a floater and it's 2 to 5 at the first MTO.
Ugly start for both teams. 5-2 WKU in a brick fest. Basically just get out of this with no injuries should be the goal

Indiana is ice cold from three to begin. WKU leads 12-9 at the second MTO after a very lengthy delay for a review (why they are reviewing anything in the first half of an exhibition game is beyond me).
Aiden Sherrell with a good defensive possession finished by a rebound followed by a triple to tie the game at 12. Unfortunately, he was called for his second foul on the next trip down and exits the game with 10:48 left in the half.

They shouldn’t be playing like this against Western Kentucky. Not a good omen for the season.
Will this program ever shoot FTs well again?
Indiana is 5-14 from three and just 3-8 from the line including a few missed front-ends but Bryce Lindsay is still shooting it well and IU leads 20-16 at the third MTO.
Markus Burton has been woeful in this game. 0-6 from the field (despite getting good looks) and WKU is now on a 9-0 run and leads 25-20.
WKU had a 12-0 run and took a 28-20 lead but Markus Burton got five straight and then Samet Yigitoglu found Sam Alexis with a nice pass, Alexis dunked it and IU now trails by just one at the last MTO of the 1st half. Good response from IU, let's see if they can finish the half well.

Teagan Moore with a halfcourt shot after a poor lob attempt from Sam Alexis, WKU leads 37-35. Not a good half from IU. That written, the Hilltoppers are (I think) comfortably better than Butler. They are a good test and it will be interesting to see how Indiana responds in the 2nd half.
Indiana has a top 15 NIL budget for men’s basketball. They should be able to easily handle freakin Western Kentucky. I’ve seen this type of performance for a damn decade now.
