What: Indiana Hoosiers vs. Siena Saints
Where: Assembly Hall in Bloomington, IN
When: Monday, December 22 at 6:00 pm
How to Watch: BTN
The Siena Saints are coached by former Syracuse player Gerry McNamara. They are a solid mid-major squad with a strong record but to say the schedule has been kind would be an understatement. This will be the first power conference opponent Siena has played and IU SHOULD be able to win comfortably. That written, if the Hoosiers play anything like they did in the second half of the Chicago State game, they could lose. Add in that this is the final game before a long break for the players and this might be more interesting than it should be.
Alright first to two fouls wins! Lamar off to a head start
Sienna sloppy on offense to start the game with two early throwaways.
Another Sienna turnover turns into a fast break for IU as Wilkerson hits Conerway on an outlet pass for a layup. IU up 8-0 with 17:11 left in the first half
Good start for the Hoosiers. Tucker DeVries with a 2 and a pair of FTs, Wilkerson with a bucket and then a really nice catch and fast break layup from Conerway. Timeout Siena with IU ahead 8-0.
40 point win would be nice tonight.
Conerway gets called for an iffy at best offensive foul and we head to the first MTO. IU leads 11-1. 15:34 left in th first half.
IU has two assists on 5 made field goals and have attempted just two 3-pointers.
It's 11-1 at the first MTO. There was a bizarre offensive foul call on Tayton Conerway to take us to commercial. While that should not have been a defensive foul, I don't understand why it was called a foul at all...seemed like a play-on situation. Regardless, good defensive focus from the Hoosiers so far.
Can anyone tell me why that was an offensive foul? I just rewatched it again and still don't get it.
Another poor shot by TD
And before that Wilkerson doesn't make the extra pass to a wide open Dorn.
We have hit the Under 12 MTO IU still in control at 18-5
IU leads 18-5 at the second MTO. Wilkerson with ten to lead the way and IU is getting plenty of open shots.
