Indiana Hoosiers vs Purdue Boilermakers (-4.5).
Tip-off: 9pm
TV: Peacock
I am hoping for a good showing
While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon
There is an actual buzz in Assembly Hall tonight. Big student crowd. Non students filing in as well.
The football team got a helluva ovation as IU celebrated their national title about nine minutes before tip off. We are nearly ready to tip here in Bloomington
Assembly Hall is ROCKING to start this game
Both teams trading buckets and the crowd is fired up. Purdue leads 10-8. Hoosiers 2-2 from 3 so far
Game in/game out Mackey is loud, but big game Assembly is so dang good.
Purdue's defense is making IU settle for long threes that are not falling. It's just 11-8, but this one may be starting to tilt.
Lamar Wilkerson took a hard fall on a drive to the basket. After laying on the ground for a couple moments gets up and will shoot two. IU cannot afford to lose him.
Wilkerson makes the first free throw, then tips in the second to tie the game. He's gritting it out
Indiana leads 14-11 at the 2nd MTO. Defense has gotten lost on a couple of rotations but overall, a really nice start. PU has three turnovers and IU is getting good looks on offense. No foul trouble (yet).
What does Miles bring to the team effort? Energy?
IU answers Purdue's mini run with a Nick Dorn three. Sam Alexis and Wilkerson check back in. 17-16 IU
