This was a terrible performance. I can’t figure out why we want to constantly play ball screen offense with this roster. It feeds right into the hands of more athletic teams. Going to have to get some screens on the weakside coupled with some ball reversals. But the constant bitching about firing the coach after we had played all of 6 games…now up to 11 is ridiculous. Some of you are more emotional than a bunch of teenage girls
Tucker DeVries sure was over hyped. At least the shooting part. He can shoot awesome if left totally wide open. Otherwise he cant throw it in the ocean.
And Enright. I have been one of his supporters, but I was rooting hard for Enright to foul out quickly in the first half.

But the offense was dumb. One time Wilkerson brought it up, three on three, and Dorns guy left him to cover someone else and Dorn was waving wide open for three and Wilkerson decided to keep it near side. We scored anyway, but... Throw the pass across!

Only thing we did do well is shoot 26-29 free throws

@spartans9312 Only the lunatic fringe is genuinely calling for DD's firing, but there are many who think he's not "the guy." His first major act as Hoosier coach was putting together this flippin' roster, after all, so that's not a great start.
Oh well, I'll just sit back and watch Michigan continue to dominate. Let's hope IU finally gets this right in 2029.

The roster is definitely lacking. I agree with you on that….especially if he is going to continue to play the same way offensively. Let it play out and see what happens. More than anything we are lacking a guard and that really showed tonight. Even with the small roster we could have taken advantage of Kentucky in the middle…we just didn’t have the guards to get the ball in the right spots.
Al Durham is not walking through that door, so these players better figure this out ... and quick.

I’m going to bet that I’ve seen more of the good Indiana teams than most of the people here calling to fire the coach after a few games. They would have bitched and moaned about hiring Knight and would have called for him to be fired after he started 0-4 in the Big 10.

It’s more about positioning than speed. The lack of movement on the weakside makes us an easy guard in the ballscreen offense.
