Does Devries have a doghouse, and if so, is it big enough for both Conerway, Sisley, and our bigs to at least threaten to shoot a wide open three?
That's a big f---ing dog house.Does Devries have a doghouse, and if so, is it big enough for both Conerway, Sisley, and our bigs to at least threaten to shoot a wide open three?
@middawg There's a reason they were open, they both shoot 3's at a 28% clip, and our three point shooters had already shrunk the basket.

Difficult for me to accept given I just watched an Illinois team who is all world in Offensive Efficiency this season, who's best offense against IU was their Bigs bricking threes and somehow they were quicker to the 15 foot scramble rebounds that created second chance scramble offense.
And where their less than avg athletically, big guard, had all the space in the world to drive to his right from 25 feet out to finish at the bucket.
The spacing, driving lanes, and easy buckets that results, and creates for them, is easily a net offensive plus.
I think some believe I'm advocating our Bigs jacking a combined double digit threes a game creating a mountain of empty possessions.
No, that's not realistic winning basketball if they only hit 25% to 30% wide open threes.
I'm advocating for the Hoosier Bigs to reach a point with outside shooting to be deemed a threat such that defenses aren't playing 8 feet off of them clogging the lane, in advantageous defensive rebounding position with little effort, and where a decent shot fake can create a dumb defensive foul or better yet a drive to the bucket or a dribble and short drive and dish to a better three point shooter. Their movement is thus toward the rim and creating an offensive rebounding advantage.
The outside shooting makes are pure bonus to the overall benefit from being willing three point shooters.
I mean we all watched Reneau shoot 12% last season and Race Thompson before that, unable to hit the broadside of a barn from outside, and TJD as a non shooter.
Bailey and Alexis, only in a world where IU basketball is doomed to be the actual Devil's Asshole, will be worse.
