Tucker not a preseason all big ten player?? lol he might be an all American. The game is so slow for him, man against boys. These guys suck, but my god is he good at basketball.

Tayton and Lamar are gonna be key pieces. Want them on the court as much as possible.
The effort level in this exhibition is better than any game in the woody era. Defense will be scrappy and legit. Will be easy to route for these guys.

Beating the hell out of them, without Dorn and Harris, is a good sign.
It doesn’t mean much of anything. But how we approached the game, and took care of business, was impressive.
Baylor obviously will be a better barometer. But even then…IU won at Tennessee last year….and we saw what that meant.
In just liked the attitude, the defensive intensity, and the bomb squad approach!
The spacing and quick ball movement will translate at any level. This should be a fun team to watch!
@812jmac I underestimated our shooting ability. Another thing that I didn’t put enough stock in is guys with want to. That want to has just not been there. These guys aren’t 5 stars, they have not been coddled. That makes for a type of player that frankly we have not seen much of.
Gonna be a fun team to watch.

@cavanagh I needed to read this thread. I have missed being excited about IU BBall. All caveats understood and accounted for, it could be fun watching these guys compete.

I ended up not getting big+, so just listened on the IU audio. Don Fischer voice is so classic and calming, I fell asleep in the second half.
Pumped about this team though, and the new regime. Looking forward to seeing us play.

@hillzhoozier my enthusiasm was as low as it had ever been this offseason. I will admit I was for sure all about the stars and nba potential. All I had to do was look at that team in stinky WL to see that that is horse 💩. College is about effort, playing together, and the most “talented” teams don’t always win.

I feel like last year's team had all the necessary talent to be a solid tournament team they were just not coached at effort, preparation, and mental toughness. There were a few games where they randomly were able to get in sync and they did well.
