Nice to "see" (even though I'm just reading along here) that we have some ability to adjust, not hang our heads, and fight back into a game. Hopefully we won't have to do it often. And too early to draw any comparisons but the teams we had the last 7-8 years only did it occasionally, and almost never two games in a row that I can recall.
@tjinman1987 Open paint areas on the offensive end make me smile. Like a warm blanket on a cold night. I can't put in to words how much I've hated the post centric approach from the last 4 years.
I think it's a misleading to say Mega Superbet are "professionals". Their whole roster is made up of players between 19 and 24 with the vast majority being 20 or 21. We're probably older than they are and our payroll is probably more, too. They're no more professional than we are.
@seyton Future professionals is more apt. That program has some alumni in the NBA, and quite a lot in higher level foreign leagues. And there were reports that they had a few NBA level guys/kids that brought "many" NBA scouts to Puerto Rico, to watch these games.

I’m not saying they’re amazing. But they aren’t chopped liver. I’ve seen people there describe them as an okay mid major team.

Agreed, I've seen the comparison that they're a march madness-level team but not a very good one

@tammany Mega has a good amount of alumni in the NBA. It sounds like they're currently a "middle of the pack" level team in their league...which is one of the top leagues, outside the NBA, in the world. Its obviously impossible to predict how they'd compare with NCAA teams, over an entire season. But everything I remember about how they were described the last time we played them, and then this time, is they'd be an NCAA tournament level team. Not Final Four level, not B10 champs level, but a good, solid NCAA tourney level team. Seems like a decent gauge. If they're a little worse than that...ok, we just swept Northwestern. If they're a little better than that, great! We just swept Maryland.
All things relative to it being a summer exhibition, for BOTH teams. But I think its now safe to assume IU is going to be a solid, competitive team this winter.
