Unofficially, IU 10-31 from three...five in double figures (Sisley, DeVries, Wilkerson, Conerway and Alexis), even on the glass with Mega, Conerway with 5 assists while Ristic and DeVries both had 4 of them. Conerway with three steals, DeVries and Ristic both with 2.

@openwheel The Woody post was meant to be sarcastic. Apparently, it's difficult to change my entire posting philosophy, which almost exclusively involved Bigfoot bashing. Damn I'll miss that.

Tbh, I'm still a bit pissy because IU didn't land McCollum; I genuinely think he was the one to change the program's trajectory. (Essentially, I have PTSD from the previous two hires, and I'm quite weary.)

All that said, come opening tip in November my schoolgirl pissiness will be gone. Who knows, in a few years (or sooner) I might say, "WTF was I thinking when I whined about BM not being IU's coach?" Hopefully that ends up being the case.

I understand. I really wanted McCollum. I think he is high level. My initial thought was ' why did we grab the wrong Drake guy'. 

But we got a Coach experienced in a good program under good coaching, at Creighton. A coach who other coaches give good reviews of.  Who has also been a program builder.

His combination of experiences just may be what Indiana needs. We didn't get some chump, we got a legitimate, experienced, energetic, good coach. I'm excited about that. He may be the right guy at the right time.

Well, 'at the right time' would've been 25 years ago, and every year since, but the point still stands.

Feels good to have a freshman off to a good start. Sisley has a nice shot, be great if he develops early and contributes this year.

Even if he can contribute 10 min a game, he'll be a difference maker.  Items way, way too early but it looks like he may be better than that.  

Believe we just found out what AD Dolson witnessed at the NCAA Tournament a couple seasons back.  This HC's teams play hard because they trust him to make the right adjustments to gain advantage.

@openwheel G is just butt hurt IU didnt hire BM.  Hell, I wanted Beard but I like everything DD has done so far  and I think we got a great coach   Time will tell but I like this hire

I really hope fans on this site fully support Darian DeVries.  It will become insufferable if every time we lose to Dusty May or Ben McCollum, there are more "what could have been" posts.  Good lord, move on.
