@thehoosierhuddle Jasai has definitely had problems making shots but as your article explained there's a reason why he's getting more minutes -- He defends.

Yep he plays decent D for sure.  Cant dribble or play offense to save his life, but is what it is.

Didn't Miles have a game a week or two ago where he fouled out in like 8 minutes?

Was talking to my accountant today.  Sure hope we don’t run Sisley off because we are giving miles minutes.  If Sisley didn’t come back next year we are really screwed.

@cavanagh He's only played 16 minutes in the last four games. Not a good way to keep a player.

I hope we keep Ristic too. Don't know spit about him but his highlights he looks like a decent all-around type shooting guard. Distribute and shoot.

But Coach has to play his guys, his way. If he thinks someone isn't up to it yet, they have to earn it.

However, it would be nice to see enough minutes to help guys develop.

From the guys with remaining eligibility, Sisley is the one player I'd like most to see return.

He shot .335 last year at N. Florida as a true soph on a good volume of attempts, so I had hopes he could maintain that % at IU......but he's shooting .211 on far fewer attempts (per time played).  He was a good rebounder for his size last year, and his rebounding #s at IU have held up pretty well.  I think he can be a decent role player for us going forward.  Beggers can't be choosers.

I'm really surprised by Sisley's play.  I wouldn't be surprised by a random promising true freshman struggling, but I thought the IMG experience had prepared him to be a contributor right away.  Seems unlikely to have a breakout game at this point.  Only good thing I see is that he does not seem to be pouting.  It would be really interesting to know what he really thinks at this point about his situation.

I'm not sure the "IMG experience" puts much emphasis on defense, which is where Sisley is a liability. BICBW.

@mushroomgod Miles can be a decent role player at IU by playing defense, getting some rebounds and infusing some energy on the court. I don't expect him to be a scorer unless DeVries and the coaching staff can work some sort of magic. Miles' junior year has nearly concluded and a reality is he is a poor shooter. Career free throw percentage stands at a meager 63% and in 84 games he's averaged four 3-point attempts per game while making less than 32%. He's not going to bring a bunch of points off the bench but can play a useful role.

This all circles back to my main fear for next year that we will be worse than this year.  We are returning nothing from a talent perspective and will have to kill it in the transfer portal.  IMO coach has shown us he is very poor in That department.  I would expect less NIL money compared to the country wide average.  Those numbers are going up for random schools and our donors have zero interest in basketball.  Get my shirt from Homage today.
