Imagine a user who has read to the bottom of a 7-page thread and wants to return quickly to the thread list.  What to do?

IUBB Boadr ChangeJPEG

Clicking this control should return the user to the thread list.  Right now touching this control does nothing.

Thanks in advance ...

I am curious why opening a thread that has new posts doesn't take me to the first unread post?

It should.  Sometimes it takes a little bit though.

It should.  Sometimes it takes a little bit though.

And sometimes it will show New Posts but there aren't any.

Huh, I've had that happen but assumed I was clicking on the wrong thread title.

Look at all the old pinned posts. If they're bolded there is supposed to be new posts.

I'll see what I can do. We are in the middle of a site redesign.

@hooky Jumping to the first unread post in a thread can take a few seconds as you noted but also only works if you're logged in so if it doesn't seem to be working, check that you are logged in. It also seems to get really confused if you use the "Mark all read" function at the bottom of the forum page. I'm not sure but it seems that will also reset any memory of your last read posts.

I love this site but there are a number of small quirks that would be nice to see ironed out. I know there is a redesign in progress so hopefully some of these things will improve.
