Painter is the best coach in the Big Ten. We’ve been waiting for them to dip for the last 15+ years and they haven’t, and it’s because of MP. Wish BK had recruited him.

Purdue was ready to fire Painter a week ago and hoped Cliff wouldn’t get an extra year. We’ll see if they were peaking at the right time. They were still playing bad ball last week. They did look good today.
@zeke4ahs If they didn't fire him after Fairleigh Dickinson they aren't ever going to. He'll retire there.

I did not see it or any of their games in the btt. But I do think it would be fun to have a IU win the btt tourney even though people say its pointless. We made the final once and it was fun I thought even though that makes me old I guess though not that old. The knock on painter always is he cannot win a national title but what big ten coach can its been 25 years. Given that I would rather just have good success and make the final 8 every now and again.
@arioznahoosier4554 I think it would be cool to have a team that "could" win a B10 title, every year. Winning it will remain a big deal, until we do it. But my hope is IU gets to a point where we have a program that's expected to be playing on the weekend, basically every season. At THAT point, probably won't really care all that much whether we actually win it or not.
