The ending to Nebraska-Purdue was unfortunate, but I do think it helps IU’s resume. Wisconsin-Illinois has been a good watch too.
Purdue's still in the hunt for a BTC. Michigan still has to play at Purdue, at Iowa, and at Illinois. Purdue's only tough road game is at Iowa on Saturday. Hopefully, Iowa takes them down.
@mushroomgod Huh? Purdue hasn't exactly been world beaters of late. I would say ALL of their games are varying levels of "tough", with the possible exception of the game at Northwestern. I wouldn't be shocked, by any means, with losses in any of their remaining games.

The remaining BT schedules for the contenders:
Michigan..........12-1.....at NW; UCLA; at PUR; at MN; at ILL; at Iowa; MSU....they also play Duke
Illinois.............11-3.....IND; at USC; at UCLA; MICH; ORE; at MD....If they can beat us they have a chance.
Nebraska.........10-3.....NW; at Iowa; PSU; MD; at USC; at UCLA; Iowa....if they win at Iowa, they could finish strong
Purdue............10-3......at Iowa; Michigan; Indiana; MSU; at OSU; at NW; Wisconsin....Not playing well but somehow beat NEB at NEB. If they get by Iowa they have a chance
MSU................10-3.....at WIS; UCLA; OSU; at PUR; at IND: Rutgers; at MICH....could lose all of those road games. Out of it.
Iowa................8-4......at MD; Purdue; NEB; at WIS; OSU; at PSU; Michigan; at NEB
UCLA...............8-4.......at Michigan; at MSU; ILL; USC; at MN; NEB; at USC

Left off Wisconsin:
Wisconsin....9-4.......MSU; at OSU; IOWA; at ORE; at Washington; MD; at Purdue.
... Watching the game live at AH, I was impressed with Wisconsin. I think they would have won the game had they not started so poorly on O. They missed a lot of makeable shots in the 1st half.
They lost because of the REFS!
Yes, I've been browsing around the rest of the internet about the game... LOL I guess it's starting to affect my brain in a negative way.

That sounds so lame when it's the other side saying it.
Iowa loses to Maryland, yikes. Terrible loss. Q3
Iowa's resume is pretty interesting. Their best win is IU. Only 2 Q1 wins (the other Washington). Q2 loss and a Q3 loss now. They've benefited from a much weaker conference slate giving them extra Q2 games they've won. Only played 6 Q1 all year.
Things are about to pick up for them as they have Neb twice, PU, Mich and at Wisky to close out

Yeah terrible loss and Maryland essentially played 6 guys for almost the whole game. Will be interesting to see how McCollum does next season without Stirtz.
That Wisconsin win keeps looking better and better. The Badgers are following up a win at Illinois with a bludgeoning of MSU.
@gthomas But does that make potential losses to Illinois and MSU worse for us?
Boilers thump Iowa by 21.
Soooo ... IU beats Purdue, Iowa beats IU, Purdue beats Iowa. More proof that the transitive property is about as real as Bigfoot (as in Sasquatch, not Woody. We know all too well that he's f---ing real).Boilers thump Iowa by 21.
About a week ago, I made a big-ish deal about IU having only one ranked win. I still think it could be an issue, but at least the Hoosiers have one more than Iowa. That's right, the Hawkeyes have exactly zero.
I still think BM is the real deal, but Iowa isn't safe. They're 18-7, 8-6 with the following games remaining...
________________
vs. Nebraska = edge to NEB. (18-8, 8-7)
@ Wisconsin = likely loss. WISC is looking quite good these days. (18-9, 8-8)
vs. OSU = likely win. (19-9, 9-8)
@ PSU = likely win. (20-9, 10-8)
vs. Michigan = likely loss. (20-10, 10-9)
@ Nebraska = likely loss. (20-11, 10-10)
________________
In this scenario, Iowa would finish with no Top 25 wins and will have lost 6 of their last 8. That's Bubble/First Four shit right there. They'd better hope at least one of the following three things happens to give them some NCAAT breathing room: (1) Split with NEB; (2) 2-0 vs. OSU and PSU; and (3) At least one BTT win. And while I don't think Iowa will finish 9-11, they're toast if they do without a BTT run.
Although Stirtz will be gone, I'm quite confident Iowa will have a better roster next season. Aside from him, it's sub-standard for the B1G. I guess that happens when your NIL is (reportedly) only $1.5M. If the admin doesn't make Iowa at least somewhat competitive with NIL, any coach's hands would be tied.
Michigan taking PU to the woodshed. Love it, but they will be looking to right the ship when we visit on Friday.
