@iunorth

yep game is evolving.  Lots of players are flex. Can play 1-4 or 1-3.  My son mostly plays 2 but in every game he's at 1,2,3 at least at some point and 4 occasionally, Depends on match ups. Lots of kids now can do that .. and those are not as traditionally used as they were 20-30 years ago.  Watching a game and seeing a kid play the "4" and doesn't look like it was back then.

@hoosiers94 Yep, I think we're starting to see DeVries' "type": he wants multi-skilled guys who can shoot, handle the ball and pass. Will be an interesting year, as it seems he has a handful of those guys. I still think we're too light in the paint, especially in the B10, but an unselfish team with shooters that willingly shares the ball is dangerous.

I believed this too, pre-season.

Now I think, 'which guys are those'?

they don't exist on our roster.  We were sold a bill of goods.   That's my frustration... that's why I'm so adamant about change.  Don't BS me. Call it what it is

Pre-season they played against talent levels they were familiar playing.  Now they've been challenged with B1G level stuff they're shell shocked performance is expected.  There's gonna be a couple that'll figure it out.  Don't proclaim to know who that is but my inclination is Tucker is not one of them.  I have high expectations Sisley is.  I ditto kkott we're light in the paint.  I'll like the style of play Coach Devries has installed.  I do believe this, somewhere during February we're going to see some improved performance but can predict what those results will be in W/L.  Hope we stiffen up. Go HOOSIERS!                         POTMFB!

Sisley is a keeper , but DD didn't really recruit or add him. He was in the fold already

Tucker just looks out of shape or something similar. I don't think competition-level has a ton to do with his inconsistencies.

17/6 vs Neb

15/7 vs UK

26/5 vs UofL

Last year he also played several good teams before the season-ending injury:

15/7 vs Georgetown

26/4/6 (with 8 3s) vs Arizona

16/6/4 vs Gonzaga

That's correct.  Don't believe I stated different.

To those who keep finding excuse after excuse to justify this shit hire ... I applaud your dedication (misguided as it is).

It is done with every shit hire we make. I knew year one Woodson would not cut it but the same excuses were used. There are guys saying DD will need multiple years to get this going like its Tom Crean pre NIL where you have to build a team through high school players. In the NIL era you can tell pretty much right away if a guy is going to cut it or not but some refuse to see it they hold out blind hope. Many are convinced he will just kill it this spring in the portal but imo  they are setting themselves up for a let down. What exactly does he have to sell future players other than playing time? Has he gotten guys to the NBA? Did he make the NCAA? I don't see much he can sell unless they are able to overpay for players. The whole he got a late start in the portal excuse is laughable to me. Ben McCollum was hired a full week after DD and seems to have a pretty decent team.

The best win of the whole year is Kansas State who is 10-9. That is why when we were 3-1 in conference I could not get excited because we had not played anyone any good yet. Just like woodson last year who started out 4-1` and then lost like 6 or 7 straight. . It still boogles my mind they thought they did not need a legit big man for big then play.

I'm gonna give it another year before I start going apeshit about the hire. He put together a bad roster without a lot depth at the 3 and nothing at the 4 and 5.

I have heard some troubling things about his management, coaching and leadership style.  I think we're seeing the results.

I've got a second degree connection with one of his previous staff members.  He doesn't do a good job running a program or managing NIL expectations.  There's a reason no one came with him to Indiana and only a couple of guys followed him from Drake.  Not bringing assistants impacted recruits who decided to make other decisions and the portal.  The guy was one man band for a long time before the current staff came together.  You guys have seen his demeanor in pressers and in game.  It's not any different behind closed doors.

If that's just how he is, it surprises me that Dolson would be so high on him, after the dour Archie Miller experience.

The only excuses you're hearing are from the imaginary voice in your overly smooth brain.

Just because a person is objective and unemotional doesn't mean they're making excuses.

Dedication is someone so malcontentt they have to make shit up to bitch about.

But you be you . Whine, bitch, complain exaggerate and make up hyperbolic imaginary opposition to argue with.

You are a strange person.
