…went off for 17 points on the road against Kansas.

You don’t hate Mike Woodson and Quinn Buckner enough.

I really really dislike those two, especially Quinn, but it’s in the past at this point.

At least he's done blaming Fred Glass for every lost game.

@iugradman can't blame Woody, Braylon is a tough name to remember.

I guess I don't know the story. Don't give a rip about Mullins, he didn't choose the Hoosiers. His loss.

I'll support Mike Woodson and Quinn as proud legacies and supporting the school. I won't say they had any business running a college sports program of any kind.

@openwheel The story is pretty well known.  Woodson largely ignored one of the better Indiana high school players in recent memory.  A kid that was more than open, if not actually wanting, to come play at IU.  Obviously there was probably more to it, than just that.  But that seems fairly established that Woodson not really putting much effort in to recruiting Mullins, is the main reason why he didn't end up choosing IU, or even really seriously considering IU in the end.

And Buckner would for sure have known all about that when he was pulling his strings to get the backing, and the NIL money, to retain Woodson for his final year, AND get an influx of NIL money to build the roster he did.  Logic says Mullins would have come up in that whole process.

So... yeah... I appreciate what those guys did as players for IU.  But what they've done recently, to the program, makes it very difficult to focus on the player accomplishments.

I'll throw them into the same category as Benson.  Great players, no desire to have any interaction with either of them based on their actions.  The term grifters is in the conversation, for crying out loud.

Nor Myles Brand nor Adam Herbert, both of whom inflicted incalculable damage to the program.

You can like Whitten or not, but she does understand the value of successful revenue sports to the university.

Well, maybe Coach DeVries can kiss Mullins a$$ enough he can get him in the portal someday. Then he can be one more player currently not on our team that we won't have to pine for any longer.

@iunorth sort of. Legend is Mullins wanted to be a Hoosier. He was visiting a game and Big Foot couldn't remember his name. That was that.

@hozo4ultimate Yeah you can keep confusing him with Raylen Givens.

While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon

@tammany But it's not, that's the point. The past often dictates the future to some degree. Didn’t happen with Cig and football, but it's happened over and over with hoops.
