This kid says he's 6' 8" and 175lbs! He's going to need to put on 25lbs or more by next season. He looks like he'll be a great player in this system.

@aloha-hoosier He will for sure need to hit the weight room and may take a season to develop, but the tools are there.

i love this kids game.

6'8 with longer wingspan. guy can switch basically 5 positions. knockdown shooter. must add strength and needs to work on his handle but projects as a multi year player.

adding manhertz (6'8) to prince-alexander moody (6'4) and vaughn karvala (6'6) is really good work when the '26 class looked a bit dire.

dorn (6'7) and sisley (6'7) are a good start and must add multiple bigs in the portal and probably two ball handlers at minimum but the bones are there.

I know nothing about him except what I read today stating he is reclassifying so I would probably not expect too much out of him in year one as he will probably still be only 17 ort 18 years old and pretty  skinny. I remember when Lander reclassified at age 17. He was simply not ready and well in his case he never was ready.

Pretty impressed by his highlights.  The obvious issue is width/strength.  Otherwise, looks to have nice, effortless form from deep.  Pretty athletic up and down the Ct and has good hops.  Can handle the ball in the open court and likes to take the ball all the way to the basket but also passes the ball very well.  Has a calm demeanor.  Just seems to be very solid.  He might be my favorite prospect of the 4 for '26 & '27.

Karvala seems flashier, for better or worse.  Maybe the most athletic of the four.  Likes to have the ball in his hands.  Like Manhertz ultra-thin. Just comes across as younger to me......

Moody seems like a highly competitive guy, maybe a gamer.  Likes to take the ball to the basket,  Of the 4, might be the least accomplished shooter?

Branham might be the least athletic of the 4.  But I would not say unathletic. Looks like a guy Purdue or Wisconsin might get.  Very skilled guy in terms of handling/passing/shooting.

@arioznahoosier4554 Check out Keaton Wagler on Illinois. Same kind of kid, skinny and just turned 18 I think. He broke the visitor's individual scoring record at Mackey when they were at Purdue last week.

Seems like a good get.  Hopefully he's not our starting 5 man next season.

@arioznahoosier4554 . You are right about Lander,  being from the Evansville area and having seen him numerous times in high school I knew from day one at IU he was very overrated. Very much a ME player.

I'd sure like to have Keaton Wagler on the IU roster. At 6'6" and a lean 180 lbs. he's competing at a high level for a very good Illinois team. Not that ratings mean all, Wagler was ranked 152 by 247Sports coming out of the 2025 class. I'd say Brad Underwood has gotten some great play out of a rather lesser profile recruit. Looking forward to how Manhertz develops as a Hoosier.
