I think they were trying to draw them offsides but snapped it.
I can hear the "fire Franklin" chants from happy valley all the way here in northern indiana
This makes Tino look really bad.
Congrats to the Bruins! No one saw that coming!
Love it. They shouldn’t have been ahead of us anyway.
And there goes Maryland
If they take 4 Big10 teams again (no guarantee), IU would need its competition for a 3 or 4 spot eliminated. Penn State is clearly one of those teams. IU absolutely has to be undefeated at home and cannot lose on the road to Maryland or Purdue. Michigan looks good. Maryland is scary at home. A lot of it is about momentum at different stages in the season. They have a game on the road and then a bye before they play us. Their schedule is not particularly hard and don’t be surprised if they contend for a playoff spot with potentially 2 losses. The don’t play Oregon or OSU or Penn State. They do host IU and Michigan and play at Illinois. Those are the Terps key games.

Down goes Texas
Neuheisel called a great game, then that shotgun obvious QB run on 4th and a foot.
But they hung on.
I was rooting for UCLA .
I have been in Chicago with my wife and kid at the Field Museum (very fun). Watched most of the games.
Here is how I think it shakes out for IU:
Illinois winning helps the resume.
Purdue looking better helps the resume.
Wisconsin is just another game.
Maryland falling apart could be bad, but need to see if they go into a tailspin.
Penn State losing (while hilarious) throws a wrench in everything. It could be really good for IU. IU would need Penn State to fall out of the top four teams in the Big Ten. They could have three losses by the time they play IU as well. This was a BAD loss. Are they eliminated? I am not sure. They should be, but people will get wrapped up in the helmets and see Penn State. OSU becomes a must win for them and Penn State almost becomes a must win for IU.
On the flip side of that UCLA beating Penn State could be a nice data point for IU if the Hoosiers beat them.
Michigan State could be a bowl team, but they've started to come back to earth.
Texas losing is big too for an at-large. IU needs Notre Dame to lose to USC as well.
What a wild day,
@lncolnpk Gotta think Locksley is done if MD has another meltdown in conference this year. Giving up 24 unanswered to Washington doesn't inspire confidence.
@812jmac would have to think so. Even when he won bowl games he never had a winning conference season.
I am really torn on this. On one hand I’m rooting for ucla, but on the other it could have an impact on how we are viewed if we lose that game. Penn St will be in playoff mode by that point when we play them. I’m not sure if ucla winning is a good thing for IU, but I can’t help but to root for an upset.
We are fortunate to have that UCLA game at home. PSU’s defense was awful today.
UCLA lost to Northwestern and Northwestern has probably the most challenged roster firepower in the conference. UCLA game management today was really bad down the stretch. They were pissing down their legs the last 4 mins of today’s game.
It moves us ahead of them in the pecking order, so I'd suppose it's good. Of course, we have to beat them now.
