The sales pitch should be, even if you dont crack the starting rotation right away, you will get ample playing time because we beat the shit out of our opponents by so much
#1 score margin over past 2 years

the "Sales" pitch?....i see what you did there
I hope they get to see us put belt to A$$ and get some payback from that 2010 game.
Let's hang a hunch on them!

Over 100. Confirming them tonight. There have been a few late changes, but some headliners for sure.
Sales is going to go through the whole recruiting process, but IU will be in a very competitive spot with rev share and NIL.
Mason Oglesby is also coming. Outside of Sales, he might be my favorite kid from instate in 2027.
I think this is his 3rd visit for a game. He's got some really good offers.
@boogie mason mcdermott is who I want to see - just got re rated top 300, OT that Iowa wants bad
It looks like there will be 7-8 blue chip instate prospects this year, in-state talent is way better than it used to be. We aren’t favorited for any of them by the rating services though.

Kaleb Elkins is someone who we like and he likes us a lot. He'd a 4 star in-state safety.
Jayce Brewer is someone that likes us, but he's going to be a hard pull because he got a OSU offer.
I've talked about Mason Oglesby, who obviously likes us. Maalik Moore is also a kid to keep and eye on (Fort Wayne kid who has been to a couple games I believe).
We're also in on quite a few out of state kids. Having out qb for next year already committed will help on the offensive side of the ball if kids know who they're going to have direct the offense.
@boogie Im not saying we arent involved / contenders for them (and we should land at least one of them), but right now we just arent favorited for any
Elkins is currently projected to go to OSU, Oglesby to Michigan or Michigan State, Brewer to ND
Its a long time till the 2027 commits, so all of that will change a lot, but we really need to lock in-state recruiting down. We get smoked every year by out of state schools. In fact we have only landed a top 5 in-state prospect 3x since 2020 (Tyler Cherry, Donovan McCulley, Dasan McCullough)
Unless we just aren't offering the funds for HS recruits, it just makes no sense why we can't lock the state down better moving forward
Coaching stability, location (unless a recruit doesn't want to be close to home), winning..it is all there. How many other coaches can you say are a lock to be there for the next 4-5 years. Day at OSU and Lanning at Oregon are likely safe at their jobs but not sure how much Oregon poaches in Indiana.
I just want to see linemen. High rated lineman...
Cig doesn't need 'stars' but they help me navigate.
Although actually, I've learned to trust anybody we sign now.
More size and speed or athleticism anywhere. Depth and guys pushing the starters.
@openwheel linemen dont need to be high rated for me as long as they have a Iowa offer attached to them. The fact he is also top 300 makes McDermott seem like the a natural successor to the Smith era to me.
Based on how we have been recruiting under Cig so far, it seems like he doesnt care much for speed at RB, but is a requirement for WRs. Seems like every WR we offer is 4.3 speed lol

Supposedly, scouts from 5 NFL teams are confirmed for Saturday. Trying to find the tweet that listed them.
