Perhaps the winningest player in the history of college football, by my count, Solomon Vanhorse had a college career football record of 79-12.
Anyone think that's ever been topped?
And for those who dont know, Vanhorse was a freshman on the 2019 James Madison Dukes football team, coached by Curt Cignetti.
He won league championships in the Colonial, the Sunbelt, and the Big Ten.
I gotta say, anyone sitting on the couch watching football with that guy 30 years from now is going to have a hard time one upping him with the "in my day...." stories.
heck of a team player to follow Cig here and have a greatly diminished role after fighting through injury trouble.
I was so bummed at Maryland when he got some touches in the 4th quarter and got it down to the 1 before they put Khobie back in. If I recall correctly, Solomon could’ve put it in on the run but made some love that kept himself from scoring. Would have been his only TD at IU.
Wasn’t Cug asking why he want on the field. . But what a ride for that kid.

how many yrs did he get?

how many yrs did he get?
8 seasons. He redshirted 2018 season and had a big freshman year in 2019. I didnt count how the team did during his redshirt year. He was still playing for the Dukes in 2023 when Cig and company transferred to IU, then he somehow had 2 more seasons.
I believe there were 2 D1 8th year seniors this season, making Vanhorse one of the most experienced college athletes perhaps in any sport.

So you are saying that even though I am 57 and never played D1 (or II or III) ball, I still have a chance. .. Put me in coach!
If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.
