IIRC some guys said gate 11 for the purple lot is the one they use and tailgate at. I’ll be bringing a couple of kids down for ODU.

Also, best to get a pass before? Can I get it outside of Seatgeek which is a total ripoff?

If you don't already have a parking pass, then it's the secondary market for you.  Parking is sold out. Or park at the Genesis church across the street from the Purple lot and walk.

Correct me if I am wrong please, but I think the Genesis Church is reserved parking now.  That's what the map indicates I think.

Looks like that might be the case!

Okay, thanks, sometimes there are nuances with parking that I can miss.

IIRC, they converted Genesis to reserved parking this year to accommodate the increase in season ticket holders and their parking pass requests.

People will notice there are some new public lots added east of Fee.  I've never parked in those, but I suspect it won't quite have the tailgating atmosphere that exists around the stadium and in the grass lots.

I saw they added some parking, didn’t catch the change on the Church lot.  Also looks like the day of game lots are $50 per the FAQ on the site.  Looks like anything near the stadium is going to be paid this year.

My only gripe about parking is really on getting out of there after games.  Wish they had a better plan for the area between Dunn and Fee lane.  Between allowing cars to go both East and West, plus the Church parking North of 46, it can take awhile getting out of Lot 12.  You don’t notice it when half the Stadium leaves early but with larger crowds and more people staying, it gets a bit more challenging.

Yeah 11 or 12 are probably your best bets. Either are OK for tailgating. You can also spend a little time walking around the grass lots across 17th st. from there before the game to see the really good tailgating scene.

That's where I used to tailgate in my glory years, but I'm a bit concerned about a 9 and 7-year-old walking around there, so I assumed I'm better off in the more controlled crowd.

For kids, they have the B-Town Boulevard deal on the south side of the stadium with different things to keep kids occupied.

parking, also consider the Unitarian church at the highway & Fee Ln.

we’ll be setup across the street from the Unitarian church in the auxiliary RV lot. If you stop by with the kids, Jr will play hella catch (he’s 11).  The tailgating there is relatively small but family friendly & fun.

we’ll also have Gameday on early & Texas @ OSU from noon til we walk into the stadium.

I bought a pass in Lot 11, so I'll be over there, but may try and swing by. My 9 yo (daughter) is not the most gifted w/r/t throwing and catching (she's a gymnast), but my 7 yo (son) can throw and catch.

Thanks for the tip on the B-Town Boulevard - is it free?

Yeah, the Boulevard thing is free.

Also, for $150 for a group of 4, the Hoosier Pre-Game Pass is pretty awesome for kids.  Get a quick tour of the facilities, get a "credential" as a keepsake, & get to get down to the field during some of the pre-game warmups.  The kids will think it's the coolest thing ever.
