Whittingham has 16 more carries and 120 more yards than Davison, just half as many tds…..sounds like they split carries like we do with Hemby/Black

@busdrivere They do. They are still very thin with just 2 healthy backs

Yeah, apparently they also have a back who is in the portal and Lanning doesn't let those guys play. The Big Ten Huddle said they generally use a 4 back rotation, but are now down to 3 healthy backs.

I know they are capable, but I just don't see it. We beat them at Autzen, and they got 14 points on broken plays. I know they still count, but it wasn't like their offense was moving the ball up and down the field, and beyond that their offense accounted for 2 FGs. Aside from that, it feels to me like almost every intangible, other than revenge factor, which is a real thing, goes our way. Not at Autzen, but I don't think it's going to be neutral and look for another 80/20 fan split. Don't think their D will get away with all the late shifting and us contributing by jumping. Their running game had improved, but now down 2 backs. They have not 1, but 2 coordinators leaving. I heard Urban Myer say that's the biggest challenge as you get successful: losing staff and cracks start to show. They have a very young roster, vs our more experienced guys, and now we've got a game under our belt and shaken off the rust. Respect the hell out of OR, Lanning and their team, but I think we win and cover.

I thought we were losing both Depaepe brothers, but only Andrew is listed. Sammy will William be sticking around?

@evillehoosier8 other than playing on scout team I don’t think it will much matter. According to the IU website he only appeared in one game this season against fcs Indiana State. So, I don’t believe he is going to be counted on for any snaps for depth going forward. If I was on the team and not playing I would still want to finish out this season for the lifelong memories. I don’t understand why all these guys are quitting cfp teams unless their coach wants them out which I think Cig said he gave these guys the opportunity to finish.

IRL? lol

I don't want to be overconfident, but I just don't see Oregon winning.  What's that, like 4 RB's and 5DB's? And a DC and OC have gotten other jobs.

Oregon’s starting rb Noah Whittington is now listed as questionable. 👀 They are really thin at rb.

@kelly_32 yep, I heard the same. Sounds like he is still expected to play, but rumor was that he hasn’t practiced this week. I guess we will see tonight if it has any impact on his game.

Dan Lanning reversed course and is letting Jay Harris play this week, even though he is currently in the portal.  So they gained at least one RB for depth.

I wonder if he was preparing with them all week? Or was it a late decision?

@openwheel - He announced it yesterday morning so we know he was at least practicing with them yesterday.  As a rotational RB who has been in the system all season long, I don't know how much that hinders him.  He is a big back, the closest to Davison as you can get but certainly not as shifty (aka good).
