Apparently IU's allotment of tickets for the peach bowl isn't very big. Unless you're a major donor, it appears limited to the upper sections (300 level) in the corner. So be prepared to go through the ripoff artists of ticketmaster (official reseller of course), seatgeek or stubhub.
They must be giving an allotment to all 4 teams that could potentially be there.
I got 2 through IU, but probably up in that corner.
FWIW…Mine will be somewhere in Sections 117-119 (end zone). I wouldn’t consider myself a major donor, but a long time donor.

I believe prices on the secondary market will come down after the two teams have been determined.
I have been using Gametime.com and I’ve found their tickets are a bit cheaper than Stubhub and use the code Save20 and it saves you 20 bucks on your first order, every little bit helps.

On ticketmaster, the number of no seats available sections are as follows (assuming these are the sections given to the 4 possible teams). And all the sections are in your corner and the opposite corner.
100s: 7 out of 36 (your corner and the opposite corner)
200s: 16 out of 47
300s: 10 out of 50
Assuming 4 schools got the same allotments, that is about 5000 tickets per school. Were going to get tickets via a family member who has a couple decades of season tickets for football and basketball and was told only seats in the 300s were available because the 100s and 200s were reserved for major donors. Of course, what constitutes as major is a gray area. Have to be at least a donor of some kind. Interest is much higher for Peach Bowl due to proximity. We just better win the Rose Bowl.
Long story short, ticketmaster made sure they controlled the sections that would get them the most $$.
I bought tix to Peach Bowl as soon as I saw Bama won. My thinking was that Tuscaloosa to ATL isn't far, so even if IU were to lose, there should still be a strong resell market and I (hopefully) wouldn't lose much if I had to sell. Hopefully I never have to find out if that was sound logic or not!
What is the face value of the tickets, just curious?
@ccmac My end zones are $250. I think the sideline 100s were $325. IIRC, there were 2 other price points, but I don’t recall exactly what they were. Maybe $200/$150 upper levels & sideline vs. endzone
@rattmouse thanks, just curious what the face was compared to the after market.
I assumed I wouldn’t qualify for the IU allotment so I bought from the peach bowl site a couple weeks ago. I’m not proud of paying for club seats, but I figured that if I was going to pay inflated resell prices later I might as well pay the same for better seats now.
20 rows up in a corner section in the 100s was $760 for us. Hopefully don't regret buying so early (either due to IU losing or prices dropping).
so much riding on the Rose Bowl. This will be the first game this season I have been able to attend.
@hurryinghoosiers I don't think prices will drop, either way. I think the novelty of IU advancing in the playoffs will keep demand from IU fans strong throughout (not to mention the # of IU alums/fans in ATL), but if Bama wins, they are much closer to ATL and I think will jump demand because their fans will be super excited because they will have advanced 2 rounds and beaten the top seed. At least that was the logic I used to buy PB tix!
Yeah, I went ahead and jumped on a ticket in section 105. Now just need IU to win. 😆
