@hoosierdaddy - If he were at the top half of the 2nd round, it would be a no brainer to go. I don't think he will get a 2nd round grade. It's likely 3 at best. But either way, each round is like a mil difference. End of 2nd is 6mil, 3rd is 5mil, 4th is 4mil (give or take of course based on where in the round you are picked). All are guaranteed contracts. Therefore, if he were to come back at I surmise, $2 mil, does that still even make it worth it to come back? Its the equivalent of the avg yearly salary of a bottom of the 2nd round pick. Then he can go pro after this year and get his guaranteed 3yr deal on top of that.
3rd round contracts are guaranteed? I though most were not, but I could be wrong.
Regardless, if Coop goes pro I get it.
@mtbrider - Yeah, if he is solidly in the 2nd, then he could go higher and that is up to $10mil if he is at the top. I just can't fathom that is the case due to his lack of speed and his generic route tree he used. Then again, you never know who may really like him? I can understand his decision either way, so I know he is in a tough position today.
@tammany - Yes, you are right. I swore the 3rd rnd picks were guaranteed but just the signing bonus is all that's guaranteed.
Going to NFL per Thamel.
Just saw on Instagram that he's declaring for the draft. He posted one of those Thank You message to teammates, coaches, parents, and fans, and said he's going to the NFL.
I never really thought he was coming back. Marsh, Becker, and the Tulane WR are a great trio. Plus the young guys hopefully have developed and are ready to contribute.
Go be great, Coop.
After the combine, guys like Cooper and Sarrat will slide down a round or so from the initial mock drafts.
Because the GMs cant help themselves... Always moving guys up for their potential, instead of proven production. Coop and Sarrat will outplay those guys in camp and make their teams. And get their chance.
,
@openwheel - Nobody in the draft can avoid tackles after catch better than Cooper and nobody in the draft has hands as good as Sarratt.
Agreed.
But somebody will run better 40s or leap higher, and then move up the board.
Agreed.

i'll take production every time
Sorry to interrupt, but I need confirmation that I'm not going crazy: Is Sanders really going to the Pro Bowl? What the absolute f---?
Agreed.

Somebody will say their arms aren't long enough to have a true pro catch radius. That's always my favorite one.
