I apologize in advance if this has been mentioned in another thread….but just read CBS Sportline placed them as the #12 seed is the CFP. Aren’t we scheduled to play them at home next year before the start of the Big Ten? So much for scheduling cupcakes then.
Certainly going to be a much different team next year. Their coach is leaving for Oklahoma state and I imagine several players will follow.I apologize in advance if this has been mentioned in another thread….but just read CBS Sportline placed them as the #12 seed is the CFP. They have no business in the CFP. That part of the equation is flawed for sure. A token nod that puts a skosh of taint on the whole thing ... I say that lightly. It doesn't ruin it by any means but someone gets an easy first round opponent. Easier any way

UNT is definitely going to be the G5 contender. Ive watched a bunch of their games this year, they are a FUN team to watch. Their defense and trench play isnt good enough to make a playoff run. Had they matched up with a team like Oklahoma, I think a upset would be possible, but TTU is too much to handle for them
As for next season: Their coach already took the HC job at OK State, and all their players are going to transfer out. They wont be this good. We should throw the NIL bag at their RB Hawkins. Freshman RB who has scored 30 touchdowns for them this season. Very fast, instinctual player.
@eppy99 My bad, 26 touchdowns. Regardless, beast, he had 5 games with 200+ scrimmage yards. Only 1 fumble all season. 1550 yards on 221 touches
