So is IU done adding players now? They only got 17 in this class.
No.
We've been prepping for the game. There hasn't been anytime to really devote to the portal.
Indiana will add more portals & I understand it was Indiana's decision on Frazier.
Would love to understand better the loopholes existing to over sign the roster given there is no spring portal.
Is it now official that players get 9 games to redshirt?
There should be some portal entry movement, forced or voluntary, in the next 5 days.
How many open spots today to get to 105?
Probably deserves its own thread, but as a competitor, at any level, Hyper superstars included, how in absolute hell do you leave a championship level team in season?
I will never understand this.
When you look over the current cast of remaining portal players it's apparent the overwhelming majority of top profile players have transferred to new teams. I have zero inside information but am of the opinion Cignetti has done most of the required heavy portal lifting he had to do to fill the 2026 roster. Based on Cig's history he's demonstrated the ability to identify talent others do not see. Examples on the current squad are guys like Riley Novakowski and Jonathan Bradley, players that did not receive high portal gradings. I'm going to bet, Cignetti adds a couple of these "'lower rated profile" impact players to the roster a few days after IU wins the national championship.
Boo. That sucks.
I hope he lands in a great spot. If so he'll tear it up.
Maybe someday we can bid high enough to get him back.
Of course, portal doesn't mean he's 100% gone, yet.

Sounds like Alberto Mendoza will be headed to Georgia Tech.
Good spot. Brand new OC who has a bunch of NFL experience. So probably be fairly balanced.

@tjinman1987 Great spot for him. Hope to see him back in Bloomington after a great year or two down there!
Very sorry to see Alberto in the portal but such are the hard realities of college football. I appreciate the contributions Alberto made to IU and wish him well (except if he ever he happens to play the Hoosiers again.)
I just read on a different forum that Texas is trying to poach Bray Lynch. That would be a massive loss. If IU is serious about football, it needs to find a way to keep him. Strength in the trenches is essential. He was a likely candidate to play center next season.
@iugradman Texas will be a contender next yr, I do believe. Losing BL to them would hurt in more ways than one.
Texas has gone all in for next season and Lynch is from Austin. It would just suck to lose a key player right after winning a national title when the program has never been more appealing.
