@boogie He's already watching film

Fun times!

My first grandchild is DUE to arrive in about 2 weeks. I would prefer he not arrive on Friday, or the day of the finals. But if it happens, it happens!!!!

We need some corn fed road graders!

Also this is ridiculous. Maybe Congress can step in a force college footballs hand. They need a charter and rules that everyone, who wants to play, has to sign. And then appoint a commissioner to run the show. Probably could enforce the academic side of things better too. People tend to listen and buckle down a bit more when money is on the line. Just completely get rid of the NCAA. They are worthless anymore.

Yes, that's exactly what we need to fix this.  Congress.

You think it's screwed up now, just wait until a bunch of professional politicians get their hands on after the wannabe and former politicians have done so well with it.

@mrhighlife Wisconsin fans think very highly of Brunner for his performance as well as leadership. Seems to be the type of guy Cignetti would like in Bloomington.

Brunner is a rugged OL who has started the last 24 games for Wisc. at 6-5, 313lbs. Get him Coach Bostad/Cignetti.

haha. On second thought, you're right, let's keep Congress out of it. The other stuff needs to happen ASAP though. Like this off season.

I see a lot of comments that read something like: "we need to get some offensive linemen". That's understandable and probably true but nearly every school's fan base is saying the same thing and if you look through any portal ranking list you want to use, there really are not that many well-regarded offensive line prospects in the portal...at least not yet. Business could pick up at any time on that front but the pickings currently are pretty slim and we know that IU is not going to take someone just to fill a spot, it needs to be a good fit.

Yeah, but the price and slim pickings is a reason why some of us have been hoping to see it.

When Cig mentioned how many lineman they'd likely take out of highschool per year his first offseason here, I think it was 3-4, seemed a little light to me. Because I figured the good ones would be insanely expensive out of the portal. And lineman seem to have a lower hit rate. Like maybe half turn into something? How can you judge how much muscle a guy will put on, especially while keeping his mobility? Plus the technique. Compared to being easier to see if a DB or receiver is a good athlete. They will still be an athlete.

@thehoosierhuddle sure, blame the new guy! You have only 16.5 years to get him humble and hungry!
