He's been really good running the ball. Also it's absurd that sacks count as rushing yards.
Thought I subscribed once????
Seeing a lot of Heisman podcast influencers ignoring the more complete stat profiles between Mendoza and Sayin.
Let's not omit that Mendoza has 336 sack adjusted Rush Yards at 6.9 ypc and 6 Rush TDs to go along with those 32 Passing TDs.
Sayin has 30ish rush yards and 0 rush TDs to combine with his 30 pass TDs.
So in total, Mendoza has 38 TDs to Sayin's 30.
Which is an overwhelming 27% more TD Production.
This is the #1 stat profile separator between the two QBs.
We have Heisman influencers now? Is that a profession?
But yep, agree, Heisman voters often seem to be biased, or ignore what they want. I mean, they picked Andre Ware over Anthony Thompson. Partly due to influencers such as Bo 'can't win the Rose Bowl' Schembechler, and also Lee Corso. (Dang it Lee...!)
