@zekeus What’s the chance the Sun is hot?

Can anyone here play this game?

I am going to go through all the posts here. What a night. Need a Celsius though.

I always enjoy going through these posts afterwards and see all the hand wringing by some of the posters. Going to the games I don’t usually get a chance to see them during the games.

@vanpastorman Agree, I really didn't want to have to win in overtime. I think that missed FG at the end of that long drive didn't exactly break their will but it certainly deflated it a bit.

I have been watching various reaction videos and the postgame press interviews. Not too impressed with Ryan Day. It seems like most losing team interviews includes something along the line of "hats off to them. They played a heck of a game and did what they had to do...".

Instead, I was left with the perception that their feeling was they played a crappy game and only lost by 3. Totally different vibe. Reeks of hubris...

We outplayed them. That's why they played a poor game.

I agree and I think Day was pretty concerned about that. You listen to him and all he can think about is how they are going to fix it. Also, he knows he is under extreme scrutiny with those idiots and that he is going to have to answer that.

@thehoosierhuddle There is no more entitled fanbase. They could go undefeated and win NCs for 5 years straight and if they lost to the #2 team in the country to open the season, they'd be calling for their coaches head. Most of their fanbase was calling for Ryan Day's head after losing to UM last year.

Look at all the OSU fans complaining that the refs favored IU, when we were called for 5 penalties and them for 2. With a couple pretty obvious facemasks missed on OSU and the questionable late hit on Mendoza to start the game.

@thehoosierhuddle I didn't realize that last play was ruled a catch. I saw the ball come out at the end and assumed it was incomplete, and didn't worry about it since it didn't matter anyway. I know they count, but that's 45 meaningless yards that added to Sayin and Smiths totals. Take that away and Mendoza #s look even better vs Sayin and another of our "less talented" receivers (Becker with 126 yards) outgained the mega-star OSU receiver. That's been a sore point for me as folks, including the CFP selection committee, continue to pile on accolades for OSU's receivers. When you look at actual production, our receiving corp is right there with them. If you want to say they are better athletes, or have more NFL potential, OK, but for this year, our receivers have been every bit as good.

@openwheel Yep. And Cig thoroughly outcoached Day.

@kkott

Coach Cig brought up those meaningless extra yards in his presser. As far as evaluating the yardage allowed by the defense.

Shouldn't that have been a fumble if it was a catch? They didn't review it.

@openwheel I don't know. It was such a scrum, I assume the ball was knocked loose after he was down, but I didn't even pay attention to the play because I knew the clock was at 00, so it didn't matter as long as they didn't get it in the end zone.
