I believe that is now four times play has been stopped for Rutgers defensive injuries. That pretty much makes offensive rhythm impossible for the Hoosiers. Third and goal from the one, let's see if IU can punch it in (or have Hoover actually throw it in a goal-to-go situation).
Great throw and catch by Hoover to Chandler

16-0 as Radicic missed the PAT.

The answer is: yes. IU can put it in the end zone. Josh Hoover to Davion Chandler on third and goal and IU leads 16-0. Nico Radicic misses his first PAT in 170 attempts.
bad hold on the XP, radicic misses his first in 160+

g-man after Rad misses his first extra point in 171 tries: I Told those guys we weren’t any good!!! 😉
And after the missed FG he’s certain we’re doomed…
And now Nico missed a short field goal.

Halftime thoughts
- Hoover got in rhythm early, starting 10-10.
- Turbo looks really good with two long runs so far.
- Four receivers have caught passes and Marsh and Becker are starting to compliment each other.
- IU’s defense has allowed some plays, but overall have been really good. Duff has made one spectacular catch, but IU has defended him well.
- Rutgers is going with AJ Surace and did put their 3rd string QB in for a play. It did not go well.
- Nico has missed two kicks so far. His mechanics are out of wack.
- Wyatt and Daley looking great.

Halftime thoughts
Indiana takes a 23-0 lead into halftime after its offense controlled the game from the opening drive. Josh Hoover has been poised and efficient, spreading the ball around to Charlie Becker, Nick Marsh and Davion Chandler while avoiding risky throws. Marsh has created several big plays, and Becker opened the scoring with a touchdown catch.
The running back room has also answered the biggest pregame question. Turbo Richard has looked healthy, breaking off runs of 41, 23 and 57 yards, while Lee Beebe Jr. has been active and effective after entering as a game-time decision. IU’s ground game has consistently created explosive plays and kept the Hoosiers ahead of the chains.
The only issue for Indiana has been points left on the board. Nico Radicic missed an extra point and a field goal, but Rutgers has not done enough offensively to take advantage. IU just needs to keep leaning on the run game, avoid turnovers and finish this one cleanly.
I blame myself for jinxing him with the g-man crack… He’ll be fine in the 2nd half…
Why are we struggling in short yardage situations, especially goal line? So odd.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.
