Could tell as soon as I watched the recorded game last night.  Being there live, you couldn’t tell much what happened but on tape, you could see he planted with his right leg and the knee went one way and the calf and lower leg went the other.  I would guess an ACL.

Damn...He was playing so well.  Hate it for him and the team.  Will he get a redshirt year if he wants to use it next year?

I saw him go down and them looking at him, but then Martin came in later and I couldn't tell the difference in jersey number...I thought it was still Beebe (28 vs. 29) and that he had come back.  Was bummed when I finally figured it out.

Martin is going to get his shot now.
He will be the next in the 3-man rotation.

Agree, but he's more like Hemby.

Obviously this sucks. But this is where awesome depth comes in to play. Beebe can hopefully recshirt and we still get two more years out of him as the primary back (vs this year as #3). Martin gets valuable reps this year and then is primed for number two back work next year.  This injury would’ve killed the first 40 IU football teams I followed in my lifetime, but I think this will end up just being a small bump in the road this year.

That sucks. He was the quickest of the backs I thought. Shiftier.   Loved his style.

It hurts.  Beebe was our homerun guy.

Fortunately, we have guys who can step up and the spread hasn't moved much, which is a decent indicator.

We'll see.

@tammany I have a feeling Martin is going to assume that homerun role very nicely.  But losing someone as good as Beebe is never a good thing.
