Is Tayshon Bardo also an option? I see he canceled his MSU visit.
I would have to believe any HS recruits at this point would have to be ready to contribute quickly, if they take a spot in place of a portal player.
@thehoosierhuddle No, but there have been many instances where both family members and staffers have monitored and checked out boards. Bottom line is I trust Cig, but given his history of going out and getting really good QBs I think there's reason to wonder if he won't do that again this year.
Thanks B
Take it for what it's worth. Messaged Lavar last night he says IU is still #1, but he is taking time to process everything

As he should!
@thehoosierhuddle - Well while he waits, he can enjoy watching IU put on another show this weekend.
I wonder what kind of impact these games have on young talent of teams we demolish and their decision to enter the portal
I mean, does anyone really want to play for a team that gets stomped by 50 points on homecoming
I have a feeling Nick Marsh from Michigan State might hit the portal and I’d love to get that kid in Bloomington.
Marsh is a handful on the field..don't know of off-field demeanor..
I'd guess the impact is pretty significant, but perhaps less than we think -- they're also considering the coaches, other players, location (maybe they're a homebody and want family to be able to have short drive to see them), where they would fit in the the system, facilities/campus, etc. Hard to know how an 18 year old feels about all that.
But, there is no question IU in terms of gameplay/gameday could not be standing out more here and I'm sure it's making a big impression. If he passes on us, we didn't want him.
Except;
Part of the 'New Reality' is not burning bridges with young men who are influenced every day by parties not necessarily acting in their best interest. Respect their decision, leave the door open, and move on.
@qparker BTN's The Journey had a feature on him. Seems like a really good kid.

@thehoosierhuddle Understandable, it would take a lot of time for me to process my hometown team losing by a billion. I still wonder how we lost to wisconsin by 60 15 years ago.
